I'm getting massive background garbage noise now that, after a while, starts to have the 'fingernails dragging across a chalkboard' effect. It's not static... I can tell it's intentional sound... but it's horrible and loud. I really want to make that go away without losing my usual sound effects.
Anyone else noticing this? |

There's a new audio effect for cloaking/decloaking, but haven't noticed any background stable static noise. |

Yep, i've noticed this too. I am generally more distracted by how crap the rest of the experience is nowadays to care about when my ships decloak, it sounds like a fat hippo undoing a mile of velcro underpants. Doesn't seem to be the cloak/decloak for me. Seems to be general background effects like... wind tunnel effects. Not like warping.. but... loud and annoying. Especially noticeable after jumping into a new system. Sometimes it fades after a while but I haven't been able to find a certain pattern or rule. Sometimes seems to be extra loud if I zoom in on my ship. |

Figured it out. If you enable advanced sounds in Settings > Audio tab, slide 'Modules' down to zero. Completely eliminates these horrible sounds.
Sorry for posting in wrong forum, turns out this has nothing to do with W-Space. |

yeah, modules sound went up like, nine billion percent on OceANUS. When i run sites, it's like Negatron yiffing Optimus Prime's oil drain hole every time a Marauder goes into Bastion, even zoomed out 150km. Turn down the module slider to "normal" levels and it sounds like a pair of autoerotic autobots buffing their fenders now. J's before K's. Sudden Buggery is recruiting w-nerds and w-noobs.
