So by now unless you live under a rokh you've seen the new upcoming proposed Jump changes, I'm of the mentality that this will be good for eve in the long run and detrimental only in the beginning week or two. But thats not why I am here, I'm here to see if people think this will give rise to something i call "The Age of The Iron Curtains" which in a nutshell is alliances renting out or hemoraghing soverign space as they lose cap pilots who rage quit or lose their ability to project between regions with any real effect, there will be capital stores no doubt they can get to in a pinch but overall the application is taking a hit.
My question is which allainces do all you wonderful people think will be the first to hunker down, trim the fatty space, and create iron curtains that nobody will want to attempt to grind out? And also where you think they might be, or even maybe you think im blapship crazy ( bear with me im trying to keep this PG13 ) And this would never happen. Thoughts and opinions regarding how this will mix up sov and how it is handled if at all welcome, try to avoid discussing the actual jump changes and whether your quitting or not if you plox. Is it bad if your friend says "that was a Metaphor" and you say "Meta 4? Get Tech II or faction" ?I love the sound of silent explosions in Space.-á |

Pretty much the current coalitions are going to do this because they already can (after they kill Providence because it's so close to empire).
People are going to quit after others explain to them how CCP just solidified the power of their alliances. CCP continues to underestimate it's players and overestimate the power of game mechanics to affect outcomes. |

I still laugh at the people insisting the big guys will "find a way".
lets face it, the little guy is at the emrcy of the big guy, the big guy is at the mercy of their war machine, the war machine ruled by the dictator, who himself is scared shitless of the rage-fueled hellferno that is a displeased/overworked/overstressed logistics division.
Either the big guys will be forced to start shipping out dedicated hauler/miner characters en masse to ease the workload, or theyll cave in to logistics demands and hold less space. |

More like the "Age of the Meat Curtains" given all the people threatening to quit and reacting like Chicken Little.
These speculation threads are completely pointless and are only going to encourage rabble until the changes are finalized and we find out the other 2/3 of CCP's plan.

Just want to point out that everytime CCP makes a minor adjustment to null sec, there are a bunch of people yelling "Providence is in for it now!"
Maybe we will get attacked, maybe we wont.
Either way, we aren't going anywhere anytime soon, regardless of our sov being burned down. BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty. |
