Anyone remembers when you started industry? So many questions and so many things to learn ... Well now I'm in that position. I thought I'd try industry. And blog about it.
If anyone wants to see where a noob industrialist starts or wishes to grant a helping hand just look into http://eve-industryfornoobs.blogspot.de/ |

Great guide/blog.
I wasn't able to get into industry. Very daunting and the game doesnt introduce it well. This gives me some good insight on what it is. Might give it a fry now. Keep posting! |

If your blog supported rss I'd subscribe, but as it is I'll soon forget to check back :)
One thing about t2 vs t1 is that while t2 has better markups, it doesn't scale well as it's difficult to align bpcs to day-long factory runs, so the time investment is much higher, and factory efficiency winds up being pretty mediocre even after investing the time. Congratulations and best of luck on your new venture. I'm sure many new players will find your blog valuable.
One tip: Use jEveAssets or some other tool to track your net isk worth on a regular basis. Seeing your net worth increase will give you a boost. |

@Isukone
If i may add a very important tip - especially for people who are new to industry in general:
With the Crius udate CCP introduced a nice change that makes it a lot easier to get a very quick calculation of what something is going to cost - be it manufacturing or research etc. Any blueprint - and yes you read right - any blueprint even those you don't own but only do a show info on can be directly opened in the industry window. The industry window then calculates very roughly what the input materials will cost and what the expected output price will be.
This is very handy even for saisoned industrialists that plan to jump to a new line of products and don't want to adjust spreadsheets right away. Doing it that way can help a new player a lot in determining the necessary funds before actually spending a lot of time in spreadsheets or market windows. After you got those figures searching/gathering the info on market for end-prices and volumes, input material prices etc will be a lot smoother. Should i do anything when all 3 things on my ship are fully red?
My thanks to all Eve players for the continued forums drama - i had no idea how much i missed it while i was away :) |

Thanks for the idea Astralana! Now the blog supports rss subscriptions. And also thanks a lot for the insight in t2 production. Tracking the net worth is also a very good idea. Now I know how to track my progress. Thanks Shiloh! And thanks a lot for saving me a lot of time Dwissi! |

I find the estimated cost in the industry tab to be wildly inaccurate, I'd strongly advise you either make or purchase a decent spreadsheet. |

Reading helps a bit there - i state very clearly : its very rough - its a time saver. Sending new players into spreadsheets isnt really helping them Should i do anything when all 3 things on my ship are fully red?

Yes I agree with you, I just wanted to warn new players that relying solely on the industry estimate will lose you a stack of isk at some point. |
