hi, i am mainly Gallente specced, but i can use
Amarr HAC's(they wont cut it out for lv4's, my friend has tried) Gallente HAC's(would need a bit of training, but i know they can)
i have Amarr BS lv4, CAldari BS lv4, and Gallente BS lv5 - which would be best for running lv4 missions
i was thinking of the Raven or the Dominix can you tell me why the raven or why the dominix and a general idea of how i would set it up
thanks |

Raven, if you like missiles. Dominix, if you like drones. Raven if you like shield tanking; Dominix if you like armor tanking.
Raven's quicker. After three years of trying to get them balanced with the other races, the Caldari are STILL overpowered. ________________________________________________

Dude the zealot can do any lvl4 except for enemy abound (haven't tried that so not sure about that one). Even the angel extravaganza solo, but you'll have a hard time breaking the last bs tank if you have **** skills

They do actually, only the blood raider ones, blood raider (arch) sages (cruisers) + some bses.
BTW was your friend stupid enough to aggro the whole step and not take out the tacklers first?

Blood raiders nos. I'm in the same boat as you, Gallente specced. Trust me on this... ishtar ftw. I turn down angel missions but that's all. Sanshas, Guristas, Mercenaries, Serps and Rogue Drones are all my biatches. You can tank the entire first stage of worlds collide with a standard T2 fitting, have no problems breaking the tank of the last Vengeance 2.5m BS with just drones and small blasters, fit a 10MN Ab and run around at near 600m/s all with a low sig radius which soaks up a lot of damage.

my friend managed the first whole step of the mission, but when he got into the second part, stasis towers 40km away starting webbing him and for some reason the whole stage just aggroed him, about 4 blood raider nos boats drained him dry, he couldnt take anything out fast enough
thats why im thinking twice about using a Zealot my friend does Sarum, and i do Royal Khanid - i dunno if i will get different missions , id ont know any feedback also my friend uses a gist-raven now and loves it i cant afford quite as much as that, but if it requires alot of isk, i can make it

I do lvl 4's for Caldari navy and my ship of choice is a Megathron, next is an Eagle and last is a Raven.
Use the Raven to start with, its a bit of a no brainer mission wise and more forgiving than most others. Tbh most battleships are capable of doing lvl 4 missions but some need good all round skills to use effectively. -----------------------------------------------

I don't see a very good reason to pick a single mission running ship type, especially given your skills. Put that Raven to work on Angel/Gist missions, and use either a Dominix or a Geddon depending on your weapon skills to deal with missions that make more sense to armor tank. I use a Typhoon for em/therm enemies and armor tank them. and a Raven for Angels and shield tank. You put the time in to diversify, reap the benefits. It's a whole lot easier (ie cheaper) to make use of a tank against enemies it's naturally strong against, than to force hardening into the weak spots.
My setup against Angels:
Raven 6x Siege II 2x Dual Light Beam II
1x Target Painter II 1x Large Shield Extender II 3x Invuln II 1x Large Shield Boost II
1x BCU II 4x PDS II
My weapon upgrade skill is only at a 4 right now, if you have WU's skill at 5, run 2x BCU II low with 3 PDS II. Fitting an XL booster on a torp Raven is a nightmare and forces too many poor fittings everwhere else on the ship IMO. I know many would feel the extender is out of place on a PVE ship, but 12k shields takes a *long* time for npc's to eat through, more than enough time to kill what is shooting you.
You can also use cruise missles, in which case an XL booster is more sensible, and you might try something like this:
6x Cruise Launcher II 2x Heavy Deminishing Nos
1x Target Painter II 3x Invuln II 1x Heavy Elect. Cap Booster 1x XL Shield Boost II
3x BCU II 2x PDS II
You can also shift the final invuln resistances granted to the lows by using a top shelf damage control in order to fit a second painter or afterburner which you may want for certain missions, in which case, I'd run 2x BCU II, 1x Internal FF Array I, and 2x PDS II. J.A.F.O.
