As I have now totally departed from the game, I need skills to run in my queue whilst I stay out. My HAM missile skills will run out quickly, so I need another set of skills to train. But what exactly should I train? Hmmm... oh yes, a Freighter! It'll be a Charon, it looks so awesome... oh, but the Rhea looks cool too :( Now, you see, my financial situation in EVE is about 250 million ISK, and I'm planning to buy some PLEX too. I need a Freighter for my alt, he's a trader in development and he needs a huge cargo hold to transport his goods from hub to hub in highsec. I'm indecisive, so could somebody please give me some advice here about these two ships, like the pros and cons of each? Oh, and should I just buy 2 PLEX and buy a Charon or should I save up for a Rhea? Your opinion matters! "And when, at last, the moment is yours, that agony will become your greatest triumph." |

Large cargo, hub to hub in highsec...
Providence.
For sheer EHP Bulkheads are the way to go IIRC but they also cut into your cargo. To get as much Cargo with as much EHP as possible you will need armour resistance platings (which ones depends a little, 3 ANPs is generally good but I know people who prefer 2ANPs and a Reactive). Because the Charon is Hull/Shield it gains least (or is it the Fenrir which gains least...?) from such a fit and you're better off going for one of the Hull/Armour freighters, of which the Providence is the one with the most armour. |

you know people who prefer to fit reactive on a freighter. that's interesting. Also providence IS the one with the most armor. not only one of. |

Wait: reactive? Do any freighters even have the CPU overhead to fit a Reactive Armor Hardener? "We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be." - Kurt Vonnegurt |

They-Śre talking about the explosive-dmg only resist mods, not the one that changes its values |
