Look, I've had it with all this sarcastic negativity about frigate wormholes. We need to, you know, create a new metagame based around frigate wormholes.
Like, what I've been thinking is, instead of people doing C3 sites in blinged our Tengus or bricked up Drakes, why don't we run them with bog standard Punisher gangs and Inquisitors.
Er, actually, we tried this with Enyos. Blah blah, it's possible, and you can bring in a salvage dessie. But considering it was a bunch of experienced high-SP toons (minimum about 45M) and it took us 10 minutes per site, and we did 4 sites to get one nanoribbon (RNG hates us, clearly) there is little incentive to persist, when for the same length of time and equal risk using bigger ships in a higher class wormhole. In fact, we figured that the 6 guys who did this made, collectively 30M ISK, which works out at about 8M ISK/hr which you can top by doing one 3/10 in highsec and killing the rats, solo.
OK, so that sucked. So we moved on to hunting with cloaky DPS ships with a decent tank, in the frigate category.
We quickly realised that we were restricted to bubble trapping PI haulers and hunting ventures, miners, etc. Given we were giving up the ability to tackle anything very substantial, and the vulnerability of all cloaky ships to bubbles, we spent plenty of time wargaming how we would, for instance, deal with finding a Gila running a site in a C2, or an Ishtar, or indeed 2009-2010 style Drake gangs. Given the crappy 120 DPS active tanks on our Asteros and the 7K EHP tanks, tops, and the lack of ability to fly nullified we swiftly realised that the ability to go through the 10% of frigate holes was not worth missing out on the 95% of times we were likely to encounter something we would struggle to kill even with a blob, let alone a pitched battle 5 v 5. Further, giving up the EHP, DPS, utility of larger ships was stupid, even for a corporation where the phrase "physical challenge!" or "did it to seee if I could"was particularly apropos.
So we moved on to mining via frigate wormholes. We raided a few gas sites, which was fine for pimp C5 gas if you can find it. But again, the chances of finding this and the hours put in to doing so, versus loggging on to a missioning alt and banging out a Blockade or four wasn't worthwhile just to cling to the ideals of frigate wormhole based content.
We thus discarded the whole thing as a joke and await their removal, or T3 frigates, or at least a decent T2 cloaky destroyer to fill the gap between the EWAR frigs and Force Recons.
But maybe my metagaming skills are rusty, after spending so many hours fruitlessly slowboating orcas back to zero on a hole in order to crushinator it. J's before K's. Sudden Buggery is recruiting w-nerds and w-noobs. Mail your resume in today! http://www.localectomy.blogspot.com.au

Tbh you could tackle aswell using a 30mil prospect with 8k ehp and 140dps, get the rest of your gang into worms/bursts and taadaa you got a fleet with 50km damage projection and 250 dps average a ship, while still fitting through those holes. At 3km/s+, few people will be able to take you on without logistics (that case, use a Maulus) "I honestly thought I was in lowsec"

Few people will be able to catch you. Besides, you can trump any argument by saying "Derr, I take your abysmal tank and DPS and raise you a Gurista ship." at which point, unless the guy is in an ishtar, he says "Fine, i fold."
