Yes, I'm a fan of Firefly.
Looking for memebers to help build the 57th Overlanders Brigade from the ground up. We need it all.
- Industry / Research - Trade / Marketing - Mining - PVE / PVP - Planetary Interaction / Moon Mining - Exploration / Scouts
I am in the USTZ and mostly in-game late evenings & a good bit of the weekends, but the corporation is open to all TZ's. If you apply, please give me a day or so to accept in that it's just me right now - I have no one to delegate work to yet.
It is going to be hard work, but it will be fun and rewarding to watch where we go from here.
Remember, we are likely to be on the losing side of things for a while until we can hold our own. But that don't make it the wrong side.

New and Veteran players are welcome!
I have been playing EVE since January 2014, but this character is new for the sole purpose of building this corporation. I am looking for members to help build the 57th Overlanders Brigade from the ground up. This corporation will be PVP/combat oriented with our core activities supporting that effort.
The initial focus will be to build up our resources and member numbers to successfully be able to move into Low Sec & Sov NULL Space sometime in the future and have an active presence in both areas. I believe with the changes coming to Low & Sov Null Space that those areas will provide the type of content well aligned to the goals for this corporation.
What are those goals exactly? Below are some of the main points: - We always have each other's backs. - If one of us is tackled and in trouble, we undock and do our best to help them. - If Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! - If someone asks for help and we can - we will. Don't much care what it is. - When pushed to the limit, that's when we aim to misbehave!
Some areas we will need to develop and grow in order to support our primary initiatives are: - Industry / Research - Mining - PVE & PVP - Planetary Interaction / Moon Mining / POS Manager - Exploration / Scouts
I am in the USTZ and mostly in-game late evenings & a good bit of the weekends, but the corporation is open to all TZ's. If you apply, please give me a day or so to accept in that it's just me right now - I have no one to delegate work to yet.

It has begun, but there is plenty of room for more!
*** No Skill Point Requirements - New & Veteran Players welcome! ***
The Public Chat room "War Stories: Browncoats Local Chat" is starting to have a life of it's own and the ghost town that was Corp Chat is now populated with newly joined Browncoats.
Welcome to the 57th Bobo, Alexander and Vash.
With the work week beginning I will not be in game as much as I am over the weekend, but will checking EVEMail and the forums for new members wanting to join so we can get applications processed quickly and am happy to login even for just a few minutes to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
Read the advert in game and here to see what we are about and if it sounds like something you want to be a part of then we invite you to join the 57th!

Just a quick note to say that though the work week is in full swing and I'm currently sitting here at the office doing my best to consume a turkey sandwich with one hand and type this post with another all whilst watching the clock for my upcoming meeting in 20 minutes - YES, I am still recruiting!
** No Skill Point Requirements - New & Veteran Players Welcome **
Fly what you like, help corp members who are in trouble and pursue the career path that makes you happy all while contributing to the primary objective of the Corp.
You don't have to be in an Assault Frigate with dual points on target with guns blazing to contribute to the 57th Overlanders Brigade. Miners and Industrialists are needed just as much, if not more so, to keep us flying and giving us projectiles to throw at our targets.
Stop by the recruiting channel in game or submit your application today!

The 57th Overlanders Brigade is still recruiting and is growing at a slow, but steady pace. Thank you to all who have shown interest so far and to those already contributing to our growth and maturity as a Corporation. I couldn't be more pleased with how things are progressing.
If the 57th sounds like a place you might be interested in as well then drop by our public chat channel in game, send me an EVEmail or post your questions to this thread and I will do my best to address any questions/concerns you may have.
I think what stands us apart from any other Combat / PVP Oriented Corporation is that I understand there are more ways to contribute to our overall success than flying a combat ship in the heat of battle. There are so many opportunities waiting for you with the 57th and its a very exciting time to see how it all is beginning.
Come be a part of something greater than yourself or the ship you fly in a place where you will see your actions and contributions making a difference.
Come be a Browncoat!

Yesterday brought some very exciting news for the 57th Overlanders Brigade. If you haven't already, go read the Mittani's latest CEO update.
GSF CEO Update
As anticipated the release of Phoebe is going to dramatically change the Sovereignty Map in the coming months opening the door to Corporations like the 57th and allowing us the chance to make our mark and grab a corner of space for ourselves. But that won't come easy and not without the pilots, miners and industrialists needed to supply and defend wherever we make our home.
WE NEED YOU!
There is a lot of work to be done prior to moving to NULL and we are taking a slow and steady approach to ensure we do it properly. We are already actively building the foundation and framework that the 57th will be able to stand firm on, grow and succeed at whatever path we choose to take. It's a very exciting time and I invite you to come join the conversation, see what we are about and if we seem like a good fit - join our ranks.
New Eden is a place where every pilot has a choice and has the right to choose their own path. Joining the 57th Overlanders Brigade will not take that innate right from you, but rather provide you with the resources & "Crew" to help make your personal goals for the future an achievable reality and the means with which to protect it.

Bit of advice, when youre starting out dont try to do everything at once. PVP, Mining, manufacturing etc.
Pick one thing you want your corp to do and stick with it. You will find that the people you pick up will have alts that can do everything else you need.
Good luck with your corp. |

Had a great weekend and even got a random Destroyer kill - not bad considering I'm still below 1mil SP on this character. Proof that you don't need to be a 20mil SP pilot to make a difference.

We even got us a Shepard this weekend too!
Take a look at the in-game advertisement, stop by our public chat "War Stories" and say hello, ask questions and if we seem like a good fit then we would like nothing more to have you join us and become a Browncoat. |

The 57th is continuing it's growth with a daily increase of inquiries being sent. Thank you to all who have contacted me so far and are considering joining our ranks! I'm working as best I can to respond as quickly as I can, so please be patient while I work my way thru the list.
I've said from the beginning - I want to keep things simple. We are a PVP / Combat oriented corporation with our eyes set on having a strong presence in Lowsec and eventually NULL Sec Space. If you want to dive deeper into what that means and how you can become a part of it - please stop by our Public channel "War Stories" in game or send me an EVEmail.
The long and short of it all is I want the 57th to be a corporation where people feel welcome and are PROUD to say they are a "Browncoat". A place that they are able to contribute in a positive way to something greater than themselves. I want them to know they are now part of something special and have people they can depend on and trust. |

The weekend is upon us - WE MADE IT!
The weekend tends to be the busiest times for recruiting, players online and content creation in general. With that in mind I hope you will take a few minutes to come by our Public Chat channel, meet some of the crew and see if we may be the right fit for you.
I know not everyone will be a good match for what we plan to become, so I'll briefly restate our intentions below:
- PVP / Combat Oriented Corporation - No Skillpoint Requirement / New & Veteran players alike are welcome - Lowsec Space with focus on moving to NULL Space in the future and maintaining an active presence in both - Focus on developing a skilled Industrial crew to sustain PVP activites (self-sustaining)
Beyond that what I hope stands us apart from the other hundreds, if not thousands, of PVP corporations out there is the way in which we fight. We respect the pilots we face and regardless if we win or lose - appreciate a good fight. We leave the trolling and trash talk to the other corporations. There's enough of them out there already.
Make no mistake about our intentions or see our "code of conduct" as a weakness. If we target you or you target us, we will do our best to blow your ship out from underneath you.
But that doesn't mean we have to be uncivilized about it.

I joined the 57th recently and Mal is an extremely polite, helpful, and casual captain.
He never talks down to people for not knowing something or asking noob questions. I showed my pvp fitting and Mal asked if he could offer advice. No demands that I must do a specific skill plan or ship fitting, just patient and helpful advice explaining why he thought it might be better.
Forget those big well established corps where you're an insignificant spec, where you're forced to learn specific skill plans and fittings, where you are treated more like another drone than a capsuleer.
Join the 57th, where new and casual players are welcome. Where you can get in on the ground floor and help shape the corp. Where friends and enemies alike are treated with respect.

The release of Phoebe yesterday was highly anticipated by many, myself included. The changes planned for the upcoming months that will drastically change the way in which we live in Lowsec and Null Space are exactly the reason why I decided to form the 57th. I believe the changes will be most beneficial to corporations like us who are just starting out but have big plans for the future.
* * * YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT TOO! * * *
It is my belief that everyone has the ability to contribute to the goals of the 57th regardless of skill level. Even a one day old pilot who grinds through the Military and Advanced Military career missions will have the ability to at a minimum fly a Frigate with a point and throw a little damage in our enemies way. If that isn't your cup of tea, then finish the Industry mission and Business missions and you'll be able to mine ore so that our Industry pilots can build us the ships, modules and ammunition we desperately need to protect what's ours.
Yes - we are in our infancy as a corporation and still finding our feet. Yes - the road ahead of us is a long and difficult one. YES - my vision and goals for the 57th are ambitious and what some may deem as unrealistic.
Now ask me if I am concerned with any of that.
My concern and my energy is focused on my crew and the tasks we have in front of us. What that currently means is recruiting like-minded pilots who are willing to settle in, work hard and know that they are forging the kind of brotherhood that only a Browncoat can understand.
The 57th Overlanders Brigade has a saying:
Quote:When you can't run, you crawl, and when you can't crawl - when you can't do that anymore . . . you find someone to carry you.
Join our Public Chat channel "War Stories" and see what we are about. Come see what it is really like when you fly with others who truly have your back and will carry you.

The weekend came and went in a blink of an eye and I can't believe it's Tuesday already.
This past weekend the 57th Overlanders Brigade had two participants in the Stay Frosty Frigate Free-For-All event held in Basgerin. It was an incredible event and ran very well. Congratulations to the crew of Stay Frosty and to Rixx Javix for putting on such a massive event with such a high success rate!

The 57th Overlanders Brigade is still recruiting!
** No Skillpoint Requirements ** ** New & Veteran Players Welcome **
Though I haven't updated this thread in a few days I am still receiving inquires daily as to who we are, what we stand for and what the future holds. New faces stop by our public chat channel to say hello and talk shop and get to know what we are about, and most wind up staying or joining our ranks. There is an ongoing conversation that I invite you to join in and let us know who you are and what you stand for and what it is YOU ultimately would like to accomplish in New Eden. Your successes matter just as much as the success of the corporation.
It has now been just shy of one month since I started the 57th and I still get excited thinking about the direction we are moving and seeing people join who share with me the same vision and ideals. I stand firm in my conviction that what matters most is not if we win every fight. What matters the most is the "how & why" we fight and ultimately the way in which we conduct our business as a corporation.
YOU CAN BE A PART OF THIS TOO!

We are now one week away from the release of Rhea and the cost associated with having to upgrade your clone after getting podded going away - so what better time to join a PVP oriented corporation???
The risk of losing skillpoints and the added cost to pay for a new clone will soon be a thing of the past making it easier to jump into a PVP fit Tech 1 Frigate or Cruiser and get some good fights. That's what the 57th is all about. Finding good fights and having fun.
We also bring a style of play that is hard to find in New Eden and frankly, isn't for everyone. Read the Manifesto here and make the decision if we are or are not a good fit for you.
