I raised a previous issue with regards to the lack of life and lore in this game.
After reading this Dev Blog I have another concern: mission lore. These conversations add a little life to the game. Why not make the mission object more obvious rather than slowly shaving away lore related content to unearth the object itself?
I hate to use it as an example; but World of Warcraft did this well. It seperated the lore related background of a quest, from the objectives of a quest. The missions already do this. So why cut back on mission background information?
Is this part of the continued campaign to "streamline" everthing? Remember this. Trust your eyes, you will kill each other. Trust your veins, you can all go home. -Cold Wind |

Tutorial missions are tough, especially if you don't like to read (you know, eye strain and brain strain), and CCP wanted to cut some WoW space in EVE for those who wanted to switch to harrrdcore MMORPGs. Ideas to boost fun factor in Planetary Interaction. |

Considering the Devblog only talks about the career (tutorial) agents, I can accept the change. reason is this; many new Eve players already get an information overload. No need to make things harder with a large mission description that'll only confuse new players.
With that said, I hope they don't extend this simplification/reduction to the regular missions, as quite some contain neat lore bits or are just fun to read. 19.000 refugees welcomed in the Aurora Arcology! A summary of the ancient civilizations of New Eden |

While I certainly understand the desire to remove excessive walls of text, I think there are better ways to handle it than outright erasing large portions of the storyline. Perhaps more use of highlighting text? |

Personally I have no issue reading the text, but for the most part, the lore is on the left, and the objective is on the right.
Highlighting it might be helpful, that is something to consider. Personally, I enjoy any form of lore immersion that they can put in the game, and have found things that surprise me every now and then. Those are fun!
But, as a lot of players don't have my background and don't enjoy reading as much as I do, I can see the validity of making the objective more simple or obvious. Highlighting would be a good idea, although probably with other colors? Bold white text isn't always a very good eyecatcher Fide et honore.
