It used to look awesome... a true covert ops ship... all engines.
Then.. they moved its graphic into the Electronic Attack Ship, Keres.
And they gave us... well I am not sure how to describe it.
Looks like they broke it, tried to bend it back straight, failed... so put a weird skinny stump on it.
Whoever moved the graphic should be strung up. Whoever designed the new one needs psychological counselling.
I would beg that they move it back, or at the very least create a new graphic for the Helios. Helios is by term "The sun god, son of Hyperion, depicted as driving his chariot across the sky from east to west daily." Model something after that...
Please.. do something.
Anyone else in agreement or not?

Greetings, CreoDron representative here,
Our exploration craft are designed, engineered and manufactured to be both beautiful and sturdy. Imicus and Helios feature a precision engineered unibody enclosure constructed from machining a custom grade of 6000 series alloyed tritanium, which is tempered for extra strength. They also feature superalloy I-beam inserts to reinforce high stress locations and use the strongest glass in the spacecraft industry. We chose these high-quality materials and construction very carefully for their strength and durability. We also perform rigorous tests throughout the entire development cycle including 3-point bending, pressure point cycling, dock, torsion, and user studies. Imicus and Helios meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use.
With normal use a bend in an Imicus or Helios is extremely rare and through our entire history of sales, a total of nine customers have contacted CreoDron with a bent Imicus or Helios. A bent Imicus or Helios is likely the result of the consumer not flying it correctly, or trying to fit it into docking ports that are too tight. As with any CreoDron product, if you have questions please contact CreoDron.

Few people know this, but the design of the Helios was intended to allow the scale model to sit unaided on CreoDron's CEO's desk, after he fired the last team over how the Malus kept falling on its back. |

It's a backup feature of the Helios. Should its cloaking device fail it's so ugly your mind filters it out and you still can't see it.

I recently had to decide what faction I was going to play, and honestly the ship looks really did weight in on that choice. I know you can train whatever ships you want to fly, but I still feel like your "home team" says something about you. I think every race had ships I didn't like, and each one had one or two really great designs. In the end, I went with Gallente because they had both good variety and a strong theme. I felt like Amarr had such a strong theme all the ships looked the same, and the Minmatar had good variety, but not in a good way. The Caldari were a close second! |
