Or has it ever been and was disabled?
Probably covered in some form or another on these forums, but I figured I'd ask. |

Nope.
/Long/ term (i.e. not any time soon) the browser may well be being removed (it's a PITA for CCP to keep up to date (and they haven't been doing so)) and then better integration with your systems browser replacing it.
What you can do, is run in Fixed Window mode (not windowed. it's a full screen version, which you can alt tab out of, and not have it minimize.) and just use your systems browser.

Adobe owns Flash. They dropped Android, with the millions of smartphones, so they are certainly not interest in such a small market as EVE online. |

it was briefly enabled back when CCP first tested the browser on the test server. My favorite thing was that when you were watching a video and closed the browser the audio would continue to play. I'll join the chorus asking CCP, don't take my fancy names away from me! In the name of the Limos, the Malkuth, and the Arbalest, so help me pod - Mara Rinn |

As Steve said. It is more likely they will get rid of the browser then to enable flash. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar |

Fixed Window is Borderless Windowed (I think.) They have confirmed that they will be removing the IGB after the CREST API is up to a certain point (I'll try and get the link). |

It is a common misconception that that would make any difference. The SWF format is open source. Android actually does support AIR, which is basicly SWF content ran as a native application, and so does Apple. "Flash" is actually nothing more then Adobe's proprietary software package that can produce SWF content. You can do so for free using open source editors and companies are free to implement either the plugin or AIR support. What you refer to is that Adobe no longer provides a web plugin for Android. They have no reason to since people still believe AS code to be heavier and less reliable then Javascript. Barbarians I tell you. |

yep, and if you have it set to your monitors resolution it behaves very much like fullscreen mode, with the added bonus of much easier alt-tabbing.
I currently only use fixed window, as I think it just works the best. I'll join the chorus asking CCP, don't take my fancy names away from me! In the name of the Limos, the Malkuth, and the Arbalest, so help me pod - Mara Rinn |
