I don't want to be difficult but I have been waiting for over 6 months for my portrat to show up not only here but everywhere. I implore CCP to please address this issue. Is this ultimately unfixable?

He he, notice the date this reply is posted, if not readable, it' from back in august. As said in some of the first post, there proberbly no way around it, will simply have to accept it woun't get fixed. I've had the problem a couple of time with diffrent machine ingame, made a petision, answer = re-install client. Well now I've update to kali, re-installed the client a few times, and it seems like the best fix ingame atleast is to turn on Lother or what's it called, ohh and run in fullscreen. If I don't it messes up the portrait. And as some migth have noticed, if you request a portrait or a regeneration of your portrait it'll work fine untill you log out. Weird issue. Just accept the fact it woun't get fixed...
Still waiting for ingame voice, with voice mods. |

What PNG? Portraits for forum are generated on the server side.

The fact that nobody of importance is responding anymore makes me believe that this isn't a matter of having problems fixing the issue. More of a fact that nobody cares about the issue.

Well, as I started playing early April, may I expect to see my portrait by the beginning of next year?
Wait patiently? This isn't the 90's.
If a matter as simple as showing an avatar can't be fixed in less than a year, I'm getting really worried! 
And I find the remark of just 'waiting' even insulting, as if we're asking the impossible.
My portrait's all crumbled to a !
Estimate: 2 more years, for CCP, to fix it. |

Who really gives a flying f*ck about their picture displaying anyways? Is this AOL? Do you need all the bells and whistles. It's just a forum, for crying out loud. A non-displaying picture.... not the end of the world.

Devs have posted in other threads that the server hardware used to render the messageboard portraits was repurposed into the game server cluster, that new hardware to do the job has finally been ordered and received, and that the guy who handles such things will be doing so as soon as Kali has stabilized.

For those wondering why people care about their portraits, there are forums here where alts are not welcome. You don't have to read many threads in those places to find someone's ideas shot down because they don't even have a portrait yet. Sad, I know, but true.
