My favorite .. so far, was repeatedly swapping cans on one of your oriental macro-miner/farmers and then blowing the can right in front of them.
After about the third time, he was so p***ed-off, apparent due to the constant stream of gibberish in local, he decided to sic his drones on my ferox ...
Poof !! big mistake, macro-miner/farmer less one covetor...
For those interested, their are a mess of these "farmers" stripping the belts daily in Kemerk and surronding systems. And I do mean stripping !! not a rock left.
P.S. While I do not usually "hunt" farmers/macro'ers, these idiots decided it would be fun to steal from a corpmate's can then pop his "badger-of-doom". Ok .. so he does like to steal their ore, thats his "thing", popping him becomes "our" thing.

--------cont----------------------------------------
It was then I decided I would let this little fly the chance for escape. I deactivated my laser battery and requested a private conversation. I waited and waited until a message had popped onto my overview. The little rat had refused my mercy and went as far as blocking me! With no reservation I opened up on the trapped vessel once again and delighted as the remains of a once operational ship filled my field of view in a wondrous explosion. That should teach the ore thief. I collected the remains of his vessel and was on my merry way to unload my new equipment.
It was in another neighboring system where I would find my next victim. I had scanned the rather highly populated system for any unsuspecting miners as usual and came across a large scale mining operation. Six mining barges and 2 industrial haulers. The fresh events of my last encounter with the previous mining operation played through my mind. Should I risk it again? I shrugged off the thoughts of worry and warped into the asteroid belt the miners called profit and was delighted to see a lone Covetor split off from the main group. It was at least 30 kilometers from his friends. I set my sights on the isolated member of the herd and began my prowl towards it.
His cargo container imploded just as countless others before it have. There was another one belonging to the same individual a few hundred meters away from the first, so I scooped the contents into my hold. I had expected another puff of smoke but it seems the cavernous depths of my ship had been stuffed to capacity. I jettisoned my ill-gotten cargo and transferred the remains of the miners haul into my own container. Unfortunately this group, despite having the numbers to overpower my ship, refused to bite like so many others.
Suddenly an new entry filled my overview. Perhaps the miner had called in friends? I selected the new entry and discovered it to be a small Executioner frigate, surely no match to the might of the Saxosus. My heart began to race upon closer inspection however; the frigate was armed with powerful tech2 Medium Pulse lasers. I collected my thoughts and looked over the ECM module equipped to my ship for just this sort of encounter. the Executioner was on a direct course towards my ship.
I took a second look at the vessel to be certain of its pilot. It turns out the pilot of the Executioner was unaffiliated with the miners currently in the asteroid belt. That served to calm my nerves, but only for a second as I saw the Executioner drop a cargo container of its own and transfer over the contents of my own container into his. I couldn't let this opportunity to go to waste. I finally had a real fight on my hands. Doing just as the offending Executioner pilot had hoped for I locked onto his vessel and opened fire. I wish I could have known what the pilot of the small frigate was thinking as a seemingly unarmed industrial ship tore into his ships armour. The Executioners frightful tech2 weapons were rendered useless as my ECM jamming module kicked into effect and broke his ships target lock. He was dead in the water and his ships hull buckled under the repeated strikes of my own weaponry.
Once again a ship was spread across the sector and the pilot left to float through space in his capsule as the last remnants of the Executioners hull gave way. I collected his ships remains and was delighted to find that one of this might tech2 Medium Pulses survived the ordeal. Seeing as how my cargo was full from plundered ore as well equipment, as well as the mining operation disbanding some time during the firefight, I set course for the nearest station. A good day got even better as I discovered my freshly looted tech2 Medium Pulse could be equipped onto the Saxosus with powergrid to spare

I apoligise in advance i failed English at school
I was reading stories in this topic and saw it as a great idea to use Industrial Ships to pirate in high sec. I was bored so i thought why not give it a try.
I left Curse and headed to Derlic where i bought a Mammoth I fitted it out like this;
Highs
200mm AutoCannon Energy Neutraliser
Meds
Stasis Webbifier Warp Scrambler 2 multispectral Jammers Small Cap Booster
lows Small Armour repairer 400mm titanium plates Energised Adaptive Membrane Damage Control
This setup fell well within my power grid and cpu. After picking up my last fitting in 0.4 i headed to the closest 0.8 system i could find but on route i ran into a smal gate camp of four cruiser sized ships i was close to the gate when the struck only about 5km, i desided to activate my tank and buckle in for the ride. To my surpise i made it through with two of the gate campers sitting in there pods, I had tested my tank and it passed.
I got to the 0.8 system and jumped to the first belt, there was a barge there mining away happily so i struck! I swooped in (if you can swoop at 170m/s) and swicthed the cans and filled my hold. Just as a interon warped in to collect the ore. He went straight to the can and oppened it getting himself flagged. I locked him and a minuet later i opend fire with my 200mm AutoCannon and offensive mods. Even with my ausome firepower it took some time durring which i was nevously checking Overveiw for his friends to show up but alas he finnaly went pop. the time it took me to kill him i could have ransomed but tbh i just wanted my mammoth to clock up its first kill.
A few systems later i had made a tidy sum on all the ore and ice i had stollen from unresponsive miners and had resieved 2 death threats  The system i was now in was another 0.8 and in the first belt i come to i found a ferox and a Catalist i swooped in again as the two targeted me and filled my hold with the precious minerals. A few seconds past and the ferox started blasting asteroids with missiles, this was either a noobish mistake or a warning shot so i diparted swiftly but once at the station i thought what the hell why not give it ago. I warped back in on the ferrox who istantly opened fire and released his drones. I saw his drones as the biggest threat and locked them down with my webber and started poping them one at a time whilst closing in on the ferox, at this point the catalyst warped out. Once i had dealt with his drones i went in for the slow and painful kill i was easily tanking his damage and my neutraliser was ovously taking its tole because his sheilds started to buckle, Que the untimely arrival of the local npcs that oviously saw my killer mammoth as the biggest threat. My tank started to fail under the assault from the new arivals so i warped out to the station straight into the catalyst pilot now in a Merlin, I went for him like any nutter in an industrial would, and slowly and painfully i began to kill him. Instead of orbiting he flew in a straight line away from the station but because of my webber he wasnt getting anywhere fast, just as i had got him to structure the ferox pilot undocks after removing all his mining lazers for the stuff that hurts. The merlin had been flying in a straight line from the station so i had time to finnish him before the ferox could warp scramble me. This is where i mucked up. I had warped sucksefully away from the ferox and i should have realy called it a day but my ego demanded i return for the ore. I tanked the npcs as i went towards the can but surprise surprise the ferox warps in ontop of me, shortly followed by the Catalyst pilot. Again i take a pownding and at one point i had chance to escape but wasnt alighned and didnt enter warp, i lasted alot longer then i expected but alas i was doomed.
I relise this is hardly a killing sprew and i probably only made a couple mill profit but it was realy fun.

Just a question/comment about your setup...
Doesn't the neutralizer absolutely kill your CAP in a short while? Generally I find that since battle haulers don't kill that fast, I'm having a challenge keeping gun/web/scram/jammers up and running at the same time without running out of CAP. If I need to activate the repper, I usually need to shut down a jammer..

Ye this setup wasnt great as you say the cap is the main problem it dies the instant you turn the multispec jammers on. So a Nosferatu would have probably been better im also thinking of changing the multispecs for some other EW, with my skills i didnt manage to jam a single target and i even tried to jam a rat without sucksess. Any suggestions would be appreciated because i think ill try again sometime.

I'm using a Badger, so I got one more mid- and one less low-slot. Basically the same setup though, except a NOS instead of the neut, blaster as weapon, minus the plate, and with an AB (I'm lazy). The 2 multi-spec ECM's are ok when you're trying to jam haulers, barges and small ships, but against anything dangerous you'll have to use the race specific ones to really make them useful (meaning you have to know what you're attacking).

So.. has anyone tried the Caracal gankage around the gates and stations? If you fit shield extenders can you get your second volley off before the Sentries pop you?

Hmm.. I wonder if I do this on my main with decent shield skills if it's doable I know I can tank the sentries for at least 15 seconds in my Rupture... might have to see if there is a cheap way to make this work. It just seems that you are much more likely to find cool things if you do it on a trade route.
Still.. I guess the easy solution is just bring a buddy and you still get two volleys before you pop.. just have to make enough to pay for two caracals.

To the original poster; ROFL. Well done mate.
A couple of guys in my corp enjoy asset redistribution/mass conversion (armor to plasma) using alternate ships, but the Badger seems to be the favorite with the mid layout. When we have a lull in the corp activites, we'll rustle up some combat Badgers and go hunting. But I must say, the funniest, or maybe most painful thing I've seen with our Badgers of Doom was when we tried to duel each other.
Imagine two well fitted, highly skilled (10M+) pilots...circling for the kill...they close the range...lock each other...then unleash everything they've got (T2 blasters, NoS), orbiting at optimal. Madness I say!
Actually, it was like watching two armless, drunk Sumo wrestlers bounce off of each other trying to knock the lint out of each other's belly buttons. It was funny at first, but after 5 minutes of...nothing...we just shrugged and went to look for something else to kill.
You'd be surprised at how many budding young pilots will swoop down on an apparent "mining operation" of 3 or 4 badgers. You'd be surprised how many of the same young pilots (insert body function) themselves when they get scrammed, webbed, and destroyed by the same "mining operation". Shouts in local of "WTF!!" and my all time favorite, "How can you mine with a blaster?" (true story).

OK, so I thought I'd try this with a Mammoth.
Highs- 200mm Autocannon, Nos Meds- AB, Web, Scram, Cap Booster, Multispec Lows- 200mm plate, Dmg Ctrl, EANM, Small Rep
Pottering around systems, found 3 hulks on scanner, all in the same small corp, with 4 jetcans with times on, obviously stuffed full of ore.
Warped to them, and can swapped one of the cans. The 3 hulks warped to one of the stations in system. I thought this maybe to get fighty ships, so I warped out. I could cover both their station and the belt from my $$, so when 3 Itty 5's appeared, I warped back to the belt. They'd obviously decided to collect their mins.
I approached my can and hung there. Their other cans disappeared, and one of the Itty 5's warped out. Suddenly, one of the Itty's flashed red. I (painfully slowly) locked him, webbed, nossed and scrammed, and let rip with the monstrous firepower of my 200mm cannon. His shield booster laughed at me till it choked off due to no cap.
Slowly pecking away at his shields, I was nervously keeping an eye on the other Itty which warped off after pointlessly locking me. Well aware that they could return in fighty ships, i realised this may not have been a great idea as this Itty was dying veerrrrryyy slowly.
Sure enough, one of them returned in a Catalyst , which was more than my indy could deal with. Switching my efforts to the destroyer, I jammed him and lumbered around to align to my $$ and got out with not much armour! They docked and logged off
Sure, not a success story but damn good fun in the hi-sec belts. Afterwards, I found out how much Hulks are worth, no surprise they docked them. I also bought a named AC for my Mammoth, maybe the next kill will be a little quicker!

Please forgive if this is a noobish question.
I've been trying this Badger of Death whatnots, and mostly I discovered just how many Macro/Sweatshop operations there are that do NOTHING but give you ore to haul. Only had 3 kills in the 3 weeks I've been doing it.
Anyway, I notice a lot of people seem to like ECM on this badger layout, and I was wondering how that works for you, as I can't envisage any time you'd want to jam your covetor or hauler. The drones they send are autonomous and would continue to fight after the covetor lost his lock? I took shield extended instead of ECM but I'm not even happy with that, it seems so pointless. So I've been thinking about 20Km scram, heavy drain, probably limited use in that. And the only other thing would be to double up on the webbies for when you need to take out a couple of drones that exceed the tank. But what is the idea with the ECM?

I've been handling the drones twofold.
#1 I use a T2 smartbomb. Gotta be careful with that puppy. But it only hits within 3k range so its not bad.
#2 I double tank my badger sort of. I use an invuln field/shield booster/shield extender, then I use armor tank as well.
So if they can get through my shield tank, I'm still armor tanking.

ECM is more for going after stuff like Destroyers and lighter Cruisers. And for getting away if someone scrams you (Iteron 5 for instance ganged with a Covetor).

I admit, most of my ore relocation has been done off of macro miners so far out in the Bleak Lands, but I wanted to say thanks to murder one for getting me interested in saving the poor asteroids from the evil isk farmers. It makes me feel like I've done a good deed.
Haven't gotten to pop one yet, but a gangmate did last night and axed a pair of strips off of it :( Crappy luck. I'm just hoping one gets a little irritated with me and decides to pick a fight with me. ;)
