I think i¦ve swallowed a stupid pill, because it¦s not clear to me.
Will I be able to run missions after the 22nd august update? I have almost enough for a navy raven offer so as you can guess, i¦m pretty interested in a positive answer here :)
What is happening is that many of the old missions, in witch some are broken, like farm 30m an hour, or mine 400k omber every day for 7 days are going away. This is good as it will be a step in the right direction of fixing the risk vs reward of many missions in high sec empire. im really looking forward to the mission nerfs..

Version 4556 has still a big load of bugs, so i would be surprised if CCP is able to deliver a good patch on 22nd of August.

Please, please, pretty please, don't make that patch frack up my whole collection of overview settings again!
Think must do some testing on sunday. The servers better be up!
On the OS: At least Microsoft gave a 6 months notice to cease support, not 5 days. |

Ahhh, now thats long overdue. As long as we are able to do some missions after the 22nd EVE life will be good.

I think the codebase should be called "Jolly Roger". EVE is a game of wars and pirates, not a game of dragons

Ok, just one thing, what EXACTLY is everyone's problem with ME? I myself found it to be very handy and have 7 computers running that particular OS (no, not in an office, I just hoard crappy pcs) Please fill me in, I'm missing something, it can't just be hate because there are so many who say that, what have I missed and do I need to upgrade those computers right away?

So... what will be changing in the missions? I dont need details... I understand you have better things to do than to list how npc 1234 now shoots 3 times instead of 4 every 10 seconds. :) But... I remember the accidental mission changes the last time which made every mission significantly harder, gave drones bounties and other things. Im already afraid. :)

It's called dragon, cause it is the client that was released for the Chinese version of EVE (IIRC).

Is it possible to know if Eve Online will really require Windows 2000 SP4 ?
I use Windows 2000 SP3 since I found some problems with the SP4, non serious but annoying for a daily use.
XP is NOT a solution. I am the only one in this world who is incompatible with XP ^^ I tried all to keep him stable, I failed (Hardware changes, Microsoft KB informations, forums, use only secured softwares like OpenOffice etc..., check virus by Kaspersky and Trend online scanner, no P2P, official drivers, etc...). No one are capable to tell me what is the problem with XP, because I do nothing who can create a problem... Paranormal activities I guess, or a curse :D
I will cancel my subscription tomorrow, because I have to pay this 19. I don't want take a risk...

Perhaps next the complex whoring in Alliance territory can be fixed to an appprpriate level of risk. Like Civilian Shield Booster drops.

Originally by: Estelle Matsuko I read oveurs notes and got to the bit about the old mission system being disabled.
A note went out some time ago noting the mission system had ben re-written to make it easier to develop new missions. As part of that many of the missions were ported over to the new system; we currently have, e.g. two versions of Mordus Headhunters active. I assume this means the old unported ones and the old versions are going away with this patch.
Be nice to have some actual details, though.

So Eve is now going to have a Dragon heart.
Does this mean the in-game voice will now start speaking like Sean Connery.
(P.S. I would pay money for it to do that ).

Doing tech support for Win ME users...er... *cries*
Having to drop 9x kernel OS support is unfortunate but necessary by now. There's a far far smaller jump between 2k to XP than from any of those OS's to 2k of course.
And saaay, since this is going to add true unicode support, any chance of multiple font choices in the future? Pretty please?

gonna toss this over to the Transgaming support requests as a new one yet again. Dragon will not work with cedega, and transgaming already admitted that it will break cedega. They did indicate they are investigating, but this doesn't give any time frame for fixes.
So the 8/22 date for us who DID upgrade to other solutions..........means a seriously long skill train.
Of course Kieron hinted so smugly after E3 that we linux and mac types would have good news coming...........I can't imagine that THIS is what he was referring to? -sigh.
