A Friend of mine has had his account banned for something said in local chat how long should it take CCP to respond to a support ticket he raised in the bans section on the main eve website? Considering he has been banned and therefore unable to play if he was to be challenging a decision made by CCP I would hope they come back quickly however he has told me that he raised the ticket last night around 2200 eve time and has still heard nothing from CCP. If his character was to have a lapse in his skill training because of his ban and then the ban is subsequently rescinded would that mean that he would get his skill points reimbursed? I think likely not.

You're approaching this all wrong:
1) GM's don't read here 2) You're rumor mongering on possible SP reimbursements (hint, they do happen) |

It can take some 1-4 weeks to investigate, depending on the complexity of the matter, appeals and noise. Should the ban be revoked, lost game time will be applied to the account, afaik. Sovereignty and Population New Mining Mechanics |

As long as it takes, I know its hard for you and your friend to understand but the GM's do have other support tickets to answer as well, and they are on a first come first serve basis.
Saying that, while some have higher priority like bans then other tickets, they still need time to consider his point, if he even made one, and decide what to do about it, or to check the logs and see if what he says is true.
Odds are if its a ban because of what he said in chat its only 7 days or so. and maybe he shouldn't say bad things in chat. |

Support tickets take anywhere from a few minutes to several days. Sometimes a little while longer. The length of time it takes to process a ticket depends on GM availability (sometimes on senior GM availability, based on the ticket topic), the length of the queue, the ticket's prioritization relative to the others that need taking care of, and maybe a little bit on the phase of the moon. GMs also are not required to read the forums and certainly do not make a habit of addressing tickets in forum posts, as tickets are confidential communication between CCP and its players.
The only suggestion that you can obtain from the forums is "be patient". Good luck! ISD LackOfFaith Captain Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department I do not respond to Eve Mail or anything other than the forums. |
