So we were just kicking around this idea.
You should be able to incap gate guns.
They would have equivalent eHP to large POS guns (or even more) and could be incapped. This would allow pilots to incap guns and then camp the gate in smaller ships. The guns would fire when aggressed and would be repaired during downtime, requiring they be incapped again the next day.
Simple idea... short explanation. |

I remember when BNI lived in barleguet, nearly every fleet lost a tackle frig to gate guns, they created a toxic don't aggress or you'll die mindset in our most impressionable newbies. They don't serve any beneficial purpose and should just be removed. |

I would prefer to have CCP reduce their ability to insta-blap frigates rather than completely allow anyone with a dread to roll up and incap the guns. This seems like a reasonable compromise between the careless being slightly protected in losec, while allowing an easier time to camp in smaller ships.
It also just never made sense how insane the tracking was on those guns.

One of the main reasons they're there in the first place is to make camping gates with small ships hard, so people traveling have a much higher chance of getting through a camp. If you can incapacitate them, they're pretty much pointless in the first place in any area where a regular camp can be found. As a frequent traveler through lowsec I much prefer the current situation. I'd suggest you put honest effort and planning to keep your small ships alive, use something with a longer native lock time or fight in some other location. |

If you want Null sec stuff, go to Null sec. We don't need to remove features from Low sec to make it more like Null sec. |

Pre-lock your tackler with logi its surprisingly effective and easier than trying to turn LowSec into Null or actually moving out there.
