Just in case this isn't a troll from the OP's forum alt...
Scams and dishonesty are a permitted and core element of gameplay in Eve. It seems clear you think that the mechanic is bad and needs "fixing" since, in what I venture is a fairly uninformed opinion, it's primarily used for scamming. By your logic, perhaps you'd also advocate for the removal of the entire public contract system as well? The prevalence of scams or deceit within a game mechanic is in no way an indication of it's broken nature.
The system as it exists currently is functioning properly, in that it publicly shows who's interceded in wars, and their resulting kills on behalf of their ally. Nothing more, nothing less.
OP, you are decrying everyone who disagrees with your opinion as a troll, yet we are merely expressing our opinion that you have insisted there is a problem where none in fact exists. |

I can think of several other people that also inhabit that world; some had very public meltdowns on the forums and quit, some are banned from the forums, others are still posting, about things they know little of, with solutions to problems that only exist in their heads.

And the one thing they all have in common is that they believe everything bad is the fault of other people, because they are perfect.
Narcissism, in other words.

Kinja Lair wrote:This system is deplorable, it creates the opportunity for a scam perpetrated by CCP. If you accept the help offered, the Mercenary Corporation accepts payment and moves on to the next corporation being war decked, in hopes that they will get paid for services NOT RENDERED.
This system should be changed.
1. A war immediately exists between the opposite of the corporation being helped and the Mercenary corporation doing the helping if the offer is accepted.
2. Performance pay only. If the helping Mercenary corporation kills something then they get paid on a pre-agreed payment plan.
3. If the Mercenary corporation turns on the party being helped a fine of 10 time the amount of each ship killed, payed to the corporation that the Mercenary corporation contracted with, for breach of contract.
4. The Helping Mercenary corporation is locked into the war deck until the party being helped is released from their wardeck. Do note that change 1 is already the reality of hiring allies (4 hour delay).
As mentioned the rest of the complaints are already addressed by proxy of simply checking the killboards and any available public information on the prospective ally. This is the method we all use when hiring for wardecs in the first place.
That leaves us with the simple conclusion that your intent is to in fact remove scamming from a transactional element of EVE Online. No.
If you want something more specific than what can be provided as obvious through publicly available information, contact the ally and agree to a contract with support of an arbitrator like Chribba. |
