I was away from eve for some years now, so i finally returned to see all the changes and new stuff that they put in.
Ok so i got blown up by this CODE alliance in caldari high sec, which is perfectly fine as this is allowed by game mechanics (even in high sec with ganking), but the mail i got after from member of code is very funny. I got a mail explaining that i could go to their website and buy a permit pass for isk or euros.
So my question is. Isn't this against eve-online rules to make money in this way ? or to make any money in that fact. Have rules changed regarding this type of action ? because this to me looks like i blow you up i get some euros.

So I'm just going to start off by saying don't buy a permit, but then again I'm bias (used to be a part of the whole anti-ganking scene). Anyway to the point, a permit costs 10,000,000 Isk, there only "valid" if you get them from a code agent that actually has permission to grant them. I'm pretty sure CODE. would never make people pay actual money for these permits as if I'm not wrong it would break the terms of service and aside from what people say, the CODE. follow the EULA pretty well. I mean if they didn't such a high profile alliance would have been shut down along time ago. My advice is to retrieve the logs and send in a ticket though, extortion of Isk is bad enough. |

If you're being asked to pay in Euros, report the player(s) involved to CCP along with any logs you have; that is definitely a breach of the EULA and not something anybody belonging to CODE. should be doing. If it is a CODE. member it may be worth forwarding their name and any relevant logs to their CEO or James 315, despite being regarded as griefers by many, they try and remain within the rules and will probably stomp extremely hard on any of their members asking for real cash. Make sure you can prove it though or you might see the logs posted on their site.

Paying with isk is ok. if someone asking for real money, like euros, report them as it is in violation of EULA.

Hello citizen
A mining permit is always 10mil ISK except if you somehow make it onto the red pen list where the fee is trebled. No Agent of the New Order will ever ask you to pay RL money for a permit. This would in fact be against the EULA as it is classic RMT and you should petition the person right away.
