While I'm messing about with a Rupture I thought I'd do Frig V for the hell of it. I'm familiar with the AFs and interceptors of the other races, and what they're good for, but I've not read so much about the Minmatar ones. Except for "lol Claw", of course.
Are any of these good for solo PvP? You know the stuff, shooting up other inties, AFs and the odd cruiser here and there. Any I should avoid in particular?
(no need for setups, I'll dig up through the sticky to sort myself out, just looking for general opinions)

The eternal question. And of course the eternal answer: "DEPENDS!"
Any of them can be setup to fly great solo but every good setup has a weakness so prepare accordingly. BTW, I love my Minnie T2 frigs, I own at least one of all six. _____________________

They don't come easy on the wallet. 20M for a non-Hawk AF?
I guess you have to pay for quality.

Yeah, the most popular ones are always the most expensive. Then again, it can be fun to pick something unpopular and try to make a good ship of it...

Ishkur run 20-25 million where I am, and the Enyo is just under 20 million. Although I've had times when there aren't even any Ishkur for sale in the region so it might be inflated.

Edited by: ShadowKi on 21/08/2006 20:31:45 My Retribution AF cost me 13.5 mill - I made that in 3-4 days doing lvl 2 missions, and I'm a new player lol.
>_> just need 25 days to train the skills needed for it.

in answer to you thread topic: yes - they are all good for solo work, though some (wolf and some others depending on how they are setup) really depend on whether or not you enemy will 'charge' at you to engage... __ Weirda Join QOTSA Now |

Weirda have very nice artillary setup on wolf, but it have no propulsion mod. it pwns anything inside 10km (webbed), and those that stay outside (pops crows easy out to 30km) - but since it is so slow, unless they go in web range, there nothing you can do to keep them there (unless they just don't realize their whole armor and structure can go in one volley)... __ Weirda Join QOTSA Now |

ISK flow isn't a problem, but it's hard to justify using an AF when I can field a BC or fully T2-fitted cruiser for the same price after insurance.
I'd pay a little more for interceptors because they do something that T1 ships can't. AFs don't really have a unique role, so I'd only pick one up for the fun of it.
