HI there folks!
I've been away from EVE for a few years and only ever really played with other people. They've quit themselves and so I've decided to do some missions on my own.
As i started doing my level 2 missions i started to feel there would be better ways to make more isk from the missions which ofcourse there is with more people!
But really my main question is where are the "best" missions to go for as i've heard about sisters of eve and i have no idea about them. At the moment im using
-Auna Ijamia Division: Security 0.8-áKorama VI - Moon 20 - Ishukone Watch Assembly Plant Effective Standing: 7.4 - Aidaken Hopara Division: Security 0.8-áKorama III - Moon 6 - Ishukone Watch Logistic Support Effective Standing: 9.7 - Okotomi Arvoras Division: Security 0.8-áKorama III - Moon 6 - Ishukone Watch Logistic Support Effective Standing: 7.4
They're the mission agents im using and i seem to doing ok as i feel im doing using them but i dont know if anyone could help either find better agents with more isk rewards permission as im getting roughly 100k isk per mission roughly then im going out im salvaging afterwards which i think is a good idea to do...?
But just saw this vid about "hacking" is it any good? " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zExAWUEYV30 "
I'd link my ship fittings in but i don't know how to do that but i feel im doing on with the fit im running on both my ships!
PLease let me know if theres anything better i could be doing?!

Looking at the standings you have with those 3 agents you've listed makes me wonder if you may have access to level 3 agents for their Corp, have you checked the agent finder for level 3's yet?

Hello and welcome back to Eve.
Despite what others may say, mission running is good steady income. Depending on your skills and ship fit, they can be blitzed fairly easy, especially with advanced Intel from Mission Reports.
Salvaging and looting everything is in my opinion a must do activity when running level 1 and level 2 missions. When you move into level 3 and level 4 missions you can then be more selective with which missions you loot and salvage. Generally loot and salvage if there's a lot of wrecks, if there's only a few wrecks, well, it's up to you.
I usually carry Salvage Drones with me and if there's only a few wrecks I'll set the drones into action while I cherry pick through the loot, only taking meta level 3 and meta level 4 items. If there's a lot of wrecks, I bookmark the mission area, complete the mission with agent and return to area with Noctis ship (bonus salvage ship). I loot and salvage everything and later re-process the low meta level loot into minerals.
Basically Level 3 missions have the best standing gain verses time spent for completion whereas Level 4 missions have the best LP / Reward gain.
As for increasing the amount of reward and or advancing up quicker in mission levels, train up the various Social skills.
Social skill increases amount of standing gained for completing missions. Connections skill increases your current amount of positive standing. Negotiation skill increases the amount of mission and bonus reward gained.
Agent Divisional skills - Security Connections, Distribution Connections, Mining Connections - increases Loyalty Points gained for completing missions in Agents Division.
Can't really say what ship to run or how to fit it due to not knowing your skills / level. I usually go to Battleclinic and view different loadouts and use the best one as a basic guide in EFT. With character stats/skills imported to EFT, I then refit the basic guide from Battleclinic to get the best overall stats available for the ship. After saving the ship fit, I then do the actual fit up in-game.
Exploration, depending on location and again your skills, can generate some good ISK. However it's hit and miss so don't be fooled by those who say they make millions per hr. Exploration is an excellent activity to mix in with mission running. That will decrease the likelihood of you getting burned out / bored with a specific activity. Basically just mix up the routine - run some missions for a while, then do some exploration.
As it is with most everything in this game, doing a little bit of research / google search on the various topics will help a lot.
Good luck to you.

Which race hulls and weapon systems are you using/most comfortable with? Can you fly Tech 2 hulls and can you use Tech 2 weapons/tanking modules? No need to link your current ships/fittings, just an idea of what your current capabilities are will help to generate suggestions.
I know a Hawk can easily cope with the majority of level 2 & 3 missions in Minmatar space but I've never never done them in Caldari space, I know the native resists of the hull will be good there but no idea how it copes with Guristas jamming personally.

Higher level agents on lower security systems tent to be more profitable. If you are after isk and want to stay in hisec use the ingame agent finder and look for a level 4 agent of a good corp on a 0.5 system.
Some tools Lp store to find a corp with decent lp conversion.
Mobile tractor unit and the mentioned salvage drone to speed up salvaging. |

Welcome back to the fold pilot!!.
Personally I found that Level 1 and 2 missions have bad salvage and just as bad loot but for a new pilot it helps.
Once you get to Level 3 missions and higher, the loot and salvage gets better, especially when you get battleships to loot/salvage.
Hacking in high sec is not the best place and you need scanning skills too, but it can be profitable if you have really good luck.
If your tired/bored of running missions, and you've got scanning skills, you can try running the DED sites that you find from scanning.
Personally I've only run the low end ones but you can get escalations/expeditions from these and once I got a T2 implant worth about 15 million ISK from a frigate rat.
There's also the Combat anomalies in your probe scanner window which you can run.
If you plan on any of the above, get yourself into a 0.5 system. Whilst this won't give you major ISK improvement, the sites for ratting and scanning are marginally better than in a 0.8 system.
As for ship fits, google damage types for eve online and then fit your ship accordingly depending on the region your in.
And also, train up your Armour/Shield skills.
Fly safe, fly dangerous, in EVE it's all the same! |

i'll try to give some general advice on missioning. the points below are the most important things i would have liked to know when i was new, but ymmv:
- if you are serious about making ISK with hisec missions, your goal is lvl4 combat missions in a battleship.
- your main bottleneck for earning money with missions are your skills. the ISK to buy a proper ship and the standings with NPC corps are earned relatively quickly but learning the necessary skills will take months, and polishing them to near-perfection can take up to a year.
- there is no need to rush into lvl4 missions. lvl3 missions with good skills will be safer and more profitable.
- do not overdo it with missions. a large portion of players burn out on mission running and quit EVE instead of trying something new and fun. this is especially true if you intend to buy PLEX on the market to support your subscription.
- salvaging is not quite as profitable as running missions quickly, but it provides a nice change of pace, so it's up to you if you want to do it or not.
finally a few words on how to find a good missioning agent:
- a huge chunk of your income will come from converting loyalty points (LP) into ISK. different corps have different items in their stores and all of them have different conversion rates, dictated by the global market. for example, the sisters of eve (SOE) LP are pretty valuable because you can convert them to Sisters Core Scanner Probes and other useful, popular items. there are other items with good conversion but it is your job to find them.
- in general, a 'good' mission agent will be in a 0.5 system but far away from lowsec, have a storyline agent nearby (preferably in the same station) and live in a relatively small system (so you spend less time warping around).
- having more than one viable agent in one station is a huge benefit because it allows you to finish two or more missions before you have to waste time docking and undocking.
I should buy an Ishtar.

You can register your API on Eveboard and then link your skills here.
EFT and Pyfa make it very easy to export your fittings to the clipboard in text form so you can paste them into a post. This is referred to as "EFT format" and it is the defacto standard way of writing out fittings, it can even be imported directly into the EVE client. |
