Starting a discussion on CCP pricing discrepancies and the recent ISK refund for Interfaces. Comments from CCP devs are more than welcome.
1) When setting contracts there is now an option to press a button and get a base price instead of selecting and typing in your own price. The base price seems to always be far lower than the actual price that should be charged. I suggest the base prices be amended or that the base price button and option is removed.
2) CCP killmail values in ISK. I think the ISK values shown on CCP combat/kilmail windows have been broken forever probably. It doesn't really bother me as I use z-board as that gives more information and is accurate in terms of ISK values and other data. But is it time for CCP to fix the ISK values shown in their killmails or even bring their own version of z-board into the game client?
3) The interfaces have been removed from the invention process and the game as a whole in Phoebe and an amount of ISK has been refunded to compensate. I propose that the amount of ISK given to compensate is not enough even though the amounts that should have been refunded would, in the hands of experienced pilots, still be 'pocket money' ISK. One of my associates received about 12 million ISK for a full set of twelve Interfaces and some interface BPCs. Previous to the first exploration changes a while back people would have been paying 75 million ISK just for one ship interface. So giving 12 million ISK for a set of 12 interfaces which included four ship interfaces does seem rather stingy to me.
I realise my associate should maybe deal with this via a petition but as the calculation for the ISK refund will affect everyone who had interfaces I am throwing the question out here. |

Killmails in Eve system are generated with purpose of preventing cheating of some kinds. I mean ISK values and LP values made it so 'no one can artificially inflate price to make too-big payload for killmail'. I have petitioned some goods and their prices and got answer 'this is intended'.
Like Drake Navy Issue with ISK price of 0ISK and 0LP....
I believe until CCP get idea how to make proper LP system killmails and rewards in Eve client will be meaningless like now.

I proposed to Russell Crowe. He hasn't gotten back to me on that, yet.

The amount received was low end scale, minimum ISK value at best. Since the items were removed forcefully, compensation should have been top value price.
Course can't do much about it now. Alea iacta est ("The die is cast").

You got the use value from those interfaces. And CCP would have had to do crazy log searching to try and work out when you actually bought them at what price and how many ships you lost getting the ones you found yourself. So low current values is fair comp. |

I have better things to do than pursue it further with CCP but personally I still feel 12 million ISK refund for a full set of twelve interfaces plus some odd interface BPCs is way below the mark of even the collapsed post-minigame loot prices.
Probably about 40 million should have been the price for those items collectively but 40 million is still pocket money. I guess I'm looking at more the principle of it and fairness than the actual ISK.
Thanks for your opinions anyway. |
