That's fine, CCP Habakuk should have free time on the weekends like the rest of us.
So we'll have to wait until tomorrow

Thank you for you reports. Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce this so far. It would be great if you could try to run logserver and attach the log to a bug report, maybe we can see the problem there. Any other details could also be helpful.

For me I had the same problem, tried the Repair.exe, didn't help.
But now I tried to go into the Launcher, and there I cleared all the settings and the cache, both, for the Launcher and the client. Now I have to setup everything again, but the Sound works now.
The no-sound-issue hapens after the new UI-Update, by the way...

Very interesting. Daniel Jackson and elitatwo: Is sound still missing for you on Singularity after today's patch? Does it help to clear and/or settings?

Nope, after clearing both the launchers and the client caches I still don't have any sound.
I am however hesitant to reset my settings.

Could you try to rename your settings folder? This will reset your setting, but you can switch back to the old settings afterwards by switching the folders. You can find some information where the folders are stored at this Evelopedia page.

Okay that did it. Sound is back up again but now I have to put everything back to how is was.
Thank you for your help!

Update: CCP Habakuk, if you are interested in the logfile, I have uploaded the two most recent logfiles at EVE Files: http://eve-files.com/dl/270987 The logs show how the "old" setting make the SiSi client crash.
Thank you! I will dig deeper into the logs and settings tomorrow.

Sure thing!
And with this update, I have narrowed down your search. It must be an entry in the core_public__.yaml file.
I did rename the settings folder and only replaced the prefs.ini, which didn't have any effect and the core_public__.yaml file from my copy.
However, I am not so good at guessing, which entry breaks the client yet.

Here is my behavior, how I reproduce it every time, even after the Patch yesterday: - After resetting all the settings, the sound was ok. - Then I restored manually all my settings, not with file, but hit escape in the game and set every setting back. - After changing the language settings to German, important names in English, Audio Voice in English, the client wanted to restart, and then the sound was gone again. Changing language back to English and remove the Voice in English didn't help. |

This is indeed the problem and it is already on the way of getting fixed. Seems like we identified the problem at about the same time. :)

Try my approach.
You can find the core_public__.yaml file in the "settings" folder as described in the EVElopedia article or for M$ operating systems in c:\user\YOURUSERNAME\appdata\local\ccp\YOUREVEFOLDER\settings

Of course you do. So everyone else can be glad, that it broke my client instead of having 3000 whine threads on the day of the Rhea release day.
