Basic idea is to have these guys pop up as 'end boss' npcs in last spawns for some c5s and c6s. They would be five-kilometer long death bricks that make you glad they're not gunning for your starbase, and require capital ships to kill (and survive).
-The upside is that they'd put out quite a lot of loot, good salvage, and some potentially unique or useful items (intact items, copious amounts of blue loot, and possibly something new and unique.
-The downside would be that you'd need the equivalent dps of two sieged dreads to break its tank, and it hits like being punched in the face by a small moon, i.e. actually keeping capital pilots on their toes.
While I am sure this has been proposed at one point at another, the recent activity in w-space with the sleepers becoming restless for whatever reason has merited this coming back as an idea. That and I like the concept of an NPC like this that actually causes capital pilots serious trouble if they're not prepared. |

making pve more interresting would be good, but i can alredy see rage comments about how wormholes has enough isk output alredy ... i think more randomness into whole pve would be good to make it more interresting than grinding we have now ... |

The general idea would be you'd need some serious firepower on field to run these, and if you didn't there would be some pretty funny ALODs, which I'm sure would be a bone to throw to said rage commenter. Ideally, the risk would be a little bit higher than the reward.
Also, do you think it would be viable to have these escalate with additional capital ships on field, or would that be WAY too much dps? I think it would be interesting to see if it was added in that way as a blitz check to keep people from escalating past a certain point. |

Capital escalation were supposed to be a system to curb the possibility of taking caps in WH sites to overpower the enemies present there. What exactly will prevent a WH group from taking many caps on field to take down those new loot pinata? A capital capital escalation that trigger if you have more than 2 caps on field? And will people farm that too? |

And will people farm that too? That's my question. And it's less of a loot pinata and more of an, "Oh god there goes our carrier support wtf is this thing??" wreaking ball in the shape of a ship. |

Everything PVE is a grind in an MMO. It doesn't matter what MMO it is, it will always be figured out how to run it, and it will become farm content. The most you can realistically do is randomize spawns, which means that the FC just creates a target priority list, it might become a complex list, but it will still be there. If you randomize the abilities each ship does that are named the same so 2 ships can be polar opposites of each other, good job, you just created impossible gameplay which nobody will want to play because half the puzzle pieces are missing from the box.

+1 Give it some webbers for escort so subcaps still take some DPS or at least until the kill the webbers
