http://voiceattack.com/ is this allowed? i can see how it would give people a upper hand in PVP but so does ISBoxer :p
i also see how it could be usefull for those who may be playing Eve online and have issues with there hands

It's stated in the EULA: "6.A.3. You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary Game play. You may not rewrite or modify the user interface or otherwise manipulate data in any way to acquire items, currency, objects, character attributes or beneficial actions not actually acquired or achieved in the Game."
From my first glance on the software, it falls in the category 'other stored rapid keystrokes'.

I have no experience with ISBoxer, but if it supports things like 'click once -> apply for multiple game instances' for EVE Online then yes it should be according to the EULA. I can however vaguely remember a post saying that it's not against the EULA because you could achieve the same with multiple screens, playing in windowed mode, but as I just read some of it's possibilities I truly have my doubts.
You could also file a petition if you want to be sure about either questions.

ISBoxer was not banned. The broadcast feature of ISBoxer was banned. It doesn't matter what application you use. It could be ISBoxer or another, but input duplication was banned. Very big difference. ISBoxer adds lots of other functionality that is not banned.

My guess:
If you use voiceattack to have one voice command result in one key press (or mouse click) CCP will have no issue. This is sort of required for people with disabilities.
If you use it to turn one voice command into multiple key presses, then their back end systems will detect that behavior, and you can expect a visit from the ban-hammer.
My memory of past presentations from the CCP security team: They do not look at what software you have on your computer. They look at what is done to the client. They do not care what software you have, what they care about is how the client is controlled. What keys are pressed, how fast, what timing, what type of behavior is being demonstrated by the player. If it's consistent with botting or command broadcasting, they act.

yes it banned the input duplication thing but thats basicly the only thing programs like ISBoxer are good for in Eve...yes you can still use it to launch a crapton of accounts but if you use it for that you know you will use it for the other eventually and hope you don't get caught doing it....the only reasonable thing to do is just think of it as a banned program

Could you speak to other features, it's very easy for those of us experienced in ISBoxer to get around the input duplication with other features. specifically:
- round robin keys - keymaping - video fx - menus - clickbars
Save the sandbox! Multiboxing is a great part of EVE, dont kill it!

So exactly how is much can we use it? Can one re-size all clients chat windows in space? can one switch overview tabs in all clients in space using ISBoxer? Is it only firing/module activation that is considered simultaneous broadcast? is it locking? is it re-sizing chat windows, is it alt tabbing 8 screens in under 2 seconds without broadcasting, with good reflexes? this bans is a holy show, and I do expect a full refund an accounts paid for in real money, based on this terms of service change, which here to has been accepted multiple times and in writing by DEVS. Your product was sold on a lie with one year subscriptions up to the day you changed the TOS. We deserve money back without quibble... and considering the number of isboxers is visibly minimal on the forums, you need to take it on the chin, and refund anyone who chooses that option, otherwise its a very dangerous precedent for the game. why would new players subscribe to a game that can completely change at the drop of a hat? bad for business in the long run, as CCP cannot be trusted to deliver a consistent product in the time frame they sell subscriptions. |

As said before in https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=387571&find=unread your best bet would be to file a petition, but since it was your choice to play against the EULA, which you have accepted, there's a very slim chance you will get the answer you want to hear.
