Ok here we go - i usually dont whine but this is just way too weird for me, close to no players in the area and this is what i get:

Anyone know what the point of this is - way too long coffeeebreaks from the gateworkers?

Looking at Ordion from another account I can see that there are about 40 ppl in that system, thats hardly crowded.

Stuck trying to get into laah , been 30 min now im getting sick of this its down right stupid , people in the system dont know others are trying to get in so you have to wait for some one to log off or jump out this could take up to a few hours and my char needs a skill change !!!!! CCP please fix it , im all for some sort of system to prevent lag but why not ease players in so the server can allocate resources as needed rather than have a fixed rescource these things are dynamic,
On a whole they do a damn fine job just some things are a little irritating at times,.

Try being in a war and runnig away from a target. in low sec and 0.0 and not being able to get through. total BS. ( wasn't me btw... was a friend ).

lol you can see this happening, you have ran accros low sec running from pirotes. you get to a high sec gate just to feel freedom then this message comes comes up.

it was fun after DT today... logged in and then they closed 1 sys.... and after that it poured like hell.... i dont know how meny where closed... but was hell of alot
and i bet most of them where empty and jita didnt get closed down :P so i dont know
last night allso.... allmost empty system.. had to wait 10 minz to get into it... dunno why the traffic control was there.... i understand jita and other hubs... but a sys whit 3 ppl in it, thats takeing the ****

can CCP please do a server role back to before the patch so they can take this random piece of usless code out - obviously the counter is broke becasue if im number 1 to get in and some 1 jumps out i should be able to jump but i cant - i relog and try to get ingame only to be told im number 6 in que so now i cant even talk in lcoal i just sit in the selection screen doing nothing coz the counter is bugged and dont work

this is nothing but a kick in the nuts for the playbase. its a ridiculous system. ill ask any1 after waiting 20 minutes to login or jump, do you feel you are getting your money's worth.
are we led to believe that this is a measured and calculated adition to the game, designed to enhance the playing experience and further develop eve as a game and as a community. has it really been thought through and tested? or more as it appears a cheap solution to a bigger issue.
its a nasty fun sapping addition that makes eve feel like alot of the other MMORPGs out there and thats not somehting i like or enjoy.

Just gave up and quit myself after being stuck for twenty or so - the wife wants me to go do something and my response of "Im stuck in Traffic" didnt go over too well!!!

We where moving with a little fleet. In some low sec systems we started to get a queue. To travel the next 10 jumps took us nearly a hour. It was in low sec and we had been able to gank around 10 ships which got queued right next to us.
Please switch the damn queue off until you found the problem.
At the same time we had loads of lag warps after jumps. I never heared of anybody who got saved by lag warps. But I know a lot ppl who lost ships because of that. Hmm ... this has the potential to be a looong week for CCP.
Maybe they are all on the Games Convention right now. PR is somehow important ;-).
Honestly this type of bug is not fun. I would like at least some information how long it will take till things settled down a bit.
I want to know wether its worth buying GW Factions or wether training Warhead Upgrades L5 is sufficient.

Back on topic, the queue system (Not que, that's the bewildered Spaniard system) is definately a stop-gap system right now. I'll be my 2 isk that CCP has their best monkey pondering a way to make this better right now. ---------------------

I think the main problem with this queue system is the very same problem the traffic advisory system has. Namely, it's waaaaaay too sensitive.
I don't consider 20 people to be "heavy traffic", no matter WHERE it is... yet the TA system appears to blurt out warnings for such light loads. I assume the queue system shares the same code, so it probably flips on the traffic lights for the same criteria.
Fix one, and you fix them both.
I'd probably suggest a formula that takes into account system growth over time, if the queues in adjacent systems are in use, AND maximum node capacity. I think having a minimum somewhere around 40 or 50 is also reasonable, as any bit of hardware that can't handle 50 people at a time needs to be swapped out and turned into a mail server or something.

The worst is when you have to do a skill change. This is precious game play that I am paying for and am unable to use. I'd like to be compensated if I can't use a service I'm paying for.

The problem here is that there's not a 1 system <-> 1 node mapping. Your system of 20 people might share a node with some busy systems.
Having said that, this is the most annoying change I've seen in EvE in a long time. Eris quoted someone a few days ago saying that queues come into effect if a node is supporting more than 600 people or running at more than 95% cpu load. If this is really true, then CCP need more nodes. I've hit enough queues since the patch to suggest that a lot of nodes are running at more than 95% cpu.

If the gates are too busy then just do what Illinois does when the tollbooths in Chicago get too busy, they build another toll booth. I dont see why a system cant have more than one gate for the same destinations. It sure would make the gankers think harder.

CCP, servers are expensive, but this is a horrible solution to deal with lag due to you not being able to keep up with your games growth.
It makes 0.0 wars impossible, and it will cause far more frustration then lag ever did.
Worst hack coding solution ever. This is the kind of thing I'd expect from WoW and I left WoW for eve due to this sort of incompetence.

Queued when you're the only person in a 0.0 system? Ok that's bad and it happened to me yesterday.
But logged on, get disconnected and then told the server is at maximum users and that I'm number 150 to log back on? While my ship is sitting about in a 0.0 system unattended?

If ccp dont do anything about this issue this week, or atleast tell us whats going on, alot of players will leave due to not beeing able to move from sys to sys. 2 year player here and this is by far the worst bug ive ever experienced - sort it out fast ccp(hell anyone would rather have the game crash now and then comepared to this) or u will only have iskfarmers left on tranquility. Cheers
