I can't find any site of this type :/ First day of Phoebe, I found one but sadly was in cruiser, but I didn't notice any after that. Are they just *that* rare? Or are they spawning only in some parts of space?
Any tips to how to find one?
Thanks |

They are rare.
Expect to probe your way through a couple constellations in null at least. I would guess it's even harder in highsec with more people probing for them. |

I found three in null yesterday.
I gave one to a friend and he came out with 300Mil in assets.
I ran the other two and came out with some junk and some Sleeper stuff like the library and ancient coordinates.
They are out there, you just have be first. |

I scan for exploration sites in Venal and so far I've found just two limited sleeper caches. I do exploration every day and scan in 10-20 different systems so I can confirm as many before me said that this sites are rare. |

The easy way to approach it would be to use Find in Contracts and put it up just below the lowest one.
Otherwise, find out how many runs the blueprint can produce and multiply by the market price for the item it produces. Take that, and subtract the material costs for all the runs. That gives you the basic profit for anyone manufacturing the item. That will give you a good idea of how to price the blueprint copy. You could, for instance, price it at around 50% of the total profit or a bit less - that will usually get it sold. If it's a super high priced item, like a faction tower bpc, I'd price it around 70% of the total profit. If it's a cheap item, you're going to have to give most of the profit to the manufacturer to even make it worth the time to produce.

If you do find one, what is the best ship to use to run it?
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Anything that can repair after you get some minor damage from the clouds due to bad manouvering. The big shiny cloud with can in it cannot be tanked as far as I know, so you need to hack the remote pressurization unit. Failing the hack you will receive +-200 damage. I did the hacks and everything in Heron and it was just fine. I had the Heron destroyed intentionally in the cloud to see how much damage it dealt and what happens to pod and the damage is big and pod was left intact.
The explosive eggs deal some damage too, dont know how much, but they can be avoided.
So you can use any T1 explo frigate, but I would fit some buffer and rep depending on race. |

Came across one yesterday, scanned it down but couldn't complete the whole site the damage was just too much for my single frigate sized ship. Left pretty much empty handed, won't be bothering again with them probably due to complete lack of knowledge of how to run it mind.

This was also my experience with the only sleeper site I've come across. |

I think it is the same as with other sites. You just need to run a good few to average bad loot with good loot. These are so rare that getting this kind of look is difficult. I had similar view of ghost sites, where I was constantly pulling ~10 milions in loot and now my last few attempts netted me 30 millions each and that in highsec. So more of these sites should hopefuly bring some more loot in time. I wish they were spawning slightly more often though as I found only two to date. I am hoping to find one every day, but in order to make money I cannot affort travelling extensively with sole purpose of finding these limited caches. |

I was lucky yesterday. Just as I was returning home I found not one, but two of these sites. The system I found the site in seems to spawn it a lot.
My probe strength is 95.5 according to game and the signal at 8AU was 1.2%. Probing down the site was seamless, I had to adjust probe position at 0.25 AU to get 100% signal. Nothing bad, it was done in three sweeps. Comparing to sites such as Minor Shipyard this site is somewhat harder to scan, but not by much.
The first can is called Hyperfluct Generator, you will need data analyzer for it. Failing the hack did not seem to do anything, you can try as many times as you want - this applies to all cans in this site. Minigame difficulty is similar to nullsec, you will be seeing suppresors, restoration nodes, orange and yellow cores. Hacking V and T2 analyzers advised, although my first time I did it with T1.
Through the rift which serves as acceleration gate. You will spawn at beacon. The sequence I went for.
1. Can that is closest to you, it is also close to the remote pressurization unit. There are two structures near it, one of them looks like face :) You'll need relic analyzer as with all the loot cans in this site. First time it had meta torp launcher, second time around the can had storyline RLML BPC in it. From this can don't go for the other one that is at the far end of site. That can will have forcefield around it and it will bump you off. It is in clear sight though, you can avoid the plasma clouds
2. Remote pressurization unit. You'll need data analyzer, same as for all the units that gain further access. Failing the hack does damage! Not sure which kind, if you tell me how to figure out I will check the gamelogs. Damage is minor, you can do it in Heron if you wish.
3. "Dented" can in the shiny pressure cloud. Be quick, the cloud is contained only for a while. Relic analyzer again. First time the can had Rocket Science skillbook in, second time I failed hack once and then the cloud reappeared. It does scary amounts of damage for frigate hulls. I have around 60-67% armor resists on my Astero and the damage was coming in 80-120 per tick and boy, did it tick tick tick quickly. Burn away ASAP if you are in something squishier. The cloud cannot be contained again, so you either need some good tank and reps or chin up and cope with a loss.
4. Back to beacon and then on to remote defence thingy. Data analyzer needed again. Failing the hack will cost you ~200 dmg, nothing too bad though. Upon successful hack you can gain access to the can that was at the far end of site, to the left from your warp-in point.
5. Can nearest to the defence unit, you will need to squeze between the explosive eggs, but you will be fine.
6. Back to beacon and on to the can you unlocked forcefield for. This one contains sleeper loot.
7. There is another can in line of sight on the outside of site. Arriving to it always triggered explosion of the egg. Not sure why, but it went through 400 of my shields with 60% resists. Both times the can had only some meta module in, really worthless.
8. Another can on the outside rim, sleeper loot was in both times, be prepared to take some damage from the plasma cloud.
Summary:
Tricky to scan for lower SP players which is good considering the damage and need to tiptoe. Fit some tank and explosive resists. Not sure about kind of damage the clouds do - please tell me how to figure this out. Do cans in sequence, dont linger in the pressure cloud. Its by far the most dangerous entity there. Estimated value of loot was around 20-25 millions excluding the failed can in pressure cloud (on the occasion I hacked it it hat 10MM worth skillbook in) If I am lucky to sell those storyline launchers, I may receive some 20-25 millions on top. Astero with tanky fit is the best you can get for this site I think. |

Not entirely sure.. but shouldn't it be possible to fit all four types of hardeners into low and by trying all the combinations on/off (there is 16 of them) you should be able to get damage profile of the cloud. And from damage profile, your resists and damage received it's easy to calculate actual damage value for each damage type :)
But maybe there is better, easier way about which newbie as me has no clue. ^_^ |
