Hi all,
I've run some data sites in Null and found the following:
Using a cargo scanner I see that a can has a BP in it, I check the info on the BP and it says infinite runs.
I hack the can and then grab the BP and place it into my cargo hold, upon doing another show info, I see that the BP now has 25 runs on it and is a BPC.
Has anyone else run across this?
Is it just a bug and has been reported or is it intentional?
Thanks in advance. |

You will only find BPCs from data and relic sites.

I missclicked on BPC once and it was showed as BPO. It's one of the info options. Generally BPOs have darker blue image/icon.

All faction blueprints are BPC's. There is no faction BPO.

Thanks for the confirmation Rhys.
I'll get some screenshots and post a ticket to CCP tomorrow.
Thanks again. |

If it's a bug, it's a bug with the cargo scanner incorrectly showing a BPC as a BPO. |

Might be more than just the cargo scanner. I show information on a BPC and it opened as a BPO with infinite runs. Closed it and reloaded the show info and it showed as a BPC, Then i closed and reopened it again it showed a BPO. . . Well I continued like this for a while until Eve crashed.
Once i re launched Eve it seemed to fix that entertaining little bug to my disappointment.

I noticed this when I opened a loot container and clicked show info on a bpc without moving it to my ship first, it showed as a BPO. So not just the cargo scanner. |

It happens when a BPC is dragged from contract to chat as well. I suspect it's a case where the client can't get any info other than it's a blueprint, so shows it as a packaged BPO (as you would find on the market)

I submitted it as bug report couple of weeks ago. I received no response. |

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm guessing that it's a bug that isn't affecting the overall gameplay so won't be patched until whenever.
Shon Anzomi, you should request a follow up. |

It's a good idea to 'Clear All Cache Files' every once in a while, especially after updating game patch. It will initiate a re-log which usually clears out most of those little inconvenient bugs.
'Clear All Cache Files' option can be found in Esc menu - 'Reset Settings' tab.
