Seed a new type of implant or pod into the market that gives you unallocated skillpoints, you lose the skills when you die (maybe the trained skillbooks can be shown on killmail) |

I'll bite....why would anyway who has just docked this char clone/pod up, plexed up for a year but did not play, just up and undock without assigning the skillpoints?
Put another away, your twist on the age old sp banking by adding a downside (well besides slower train rates, also a bad downside btw)....is not really a downside. No one in their right mind would undock like this to lose the sp.

You say no one would undock in this just to lose it. I would happily undock in it to do some pew pew in my new ship that i couldnt fly effectively before, for example i never get around to training up 'assault frigates 5' and i think a boost of unallocated skills would be perfect for this skillbook (i would essentially have one of my jump clones be a better assault frigate pilot) |

I'll bite again....how cheap do you see these implants being?
Me...about 200 mil.
Here is why. Looking at wolf/jag as an AF (rest follow similar pattern for their stats it seems) you get a 10% and 5% per level boost per skill level. For minmatar af it varies between damage, optimal and falloff.
For the 5%'s you already have 5% implants for the +1 level effect really. Which if you farm your own lp and turn in still cost 75 mil per implant iirc.
So 2 * 75 mil = 150 mil.
Throw in 50 mil fudge factor for the extra 5% to get one 10% per level. What I'd do if selling these anyway.
And this is me being nice. AF 5 from 4 is like 14 days iirc stats depending. That's half a month of plex time. PLex last check at jita is 900 mil ballpark. As 1 month of sp acquiring has a market value this here 14 day injection could be around 450 mil worst case.
So we have a nice range here, 200-450 mil. If you have the isk for this you'd be better off with ds fits or hardwires. I will have you win many AF battles. ds gear and implants can be used on other ships too.
You'd also be better off if you have this isk 5'ing the AF anyway. The hardwires are getting you level 6 effectively. To paraphrase Nigel Tufnel....well it goes to 11 so Its one louder. Much better value for your isk really imo. |

Howabout a ship instead, that way it can be something specific to combat PVP and not very good in carebearing operations. Like an interceptor or stealth bomber.
A new kind of tech 3: skill-points built into the ship instead of the flexibility. Lose the ship, lose the skillpoints. Get out of the ship and the skillpoints are left behind. They could be based on Takmahl technology, basically giant implants you plug yourself into, and undock with them.
Fit a warfare link to your tech 1 battlecruiser. Train Wing Commander. Get in the Squad Commander or Wing Commander position. Your fleets will be superior to everyone else's. (had this sig BEFORE Odyssey BC rebalance)

Money can buy knowledge/skill, or rather money can give you confidence to have better knowledge/skill. This is why being rich has its advantages in terms of confidence boost and improving the learning curve, its not unusual
And in answer to how much such an implant/pod would cost i do not expect it to cost less than a bil isk (sorta like the low grade snake set), and i dont believe in the argument that gaining 6% on top of your alreafy maxed out Assault Frigate skill counts same as going from lvl4-->>lvl5 because with a 6% implant you have an advantage over everybody else in the game so to say. |
