Hi there,
currently I use this fitting for 0.0 Sansha ratting which works very well:
[Nightmare, 0.0 Sansha] Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Thermic Dissipation Field II EM Ward Field II Shield Boost Amplifier II Shield Boost Amplifier II Large Shield Booster II Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Script
Tachyon Modulated Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L Tachyon Modulated Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L Tachyon Modulated Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L Tachyon Modulated Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5
Do you have any suggestions to improve it or what to put in the two highsec slots which are available?
Thanks for your advice! |

I would use something cheaper. If you are going to fly a faction BS at least use T2 weapons on it.
Also EM drones outperform Thermal ones now vs Sansha due to resists, but not by much. |

I already bought it, so I'll use it :)
I'm training to T2 Beams, finishes in the next few days.
Thanks for the hint with the EM drones, I'll get some soon :) |

well if your ratting in 0.0 null sec then
1) a cloak is not a bad idea, or a couple of salvagers if your using a mobile tractor beam. 2) Just put a AB on a AB bonus-ed hull. 3) I don't know if you are having cap problems or even encountering enough enemy DPS to run the shield booster.. but I would suggest a cap booster just incase you need more cap to rep/pew/run away or fight after getting neuted. 4)you don't need 3 ccc rigs, if your only ratting sanash you should definitely have a anti EM rig -t2 so you start off at 35% resist to the most common damage type you will see instead of 0% 5)energy discharge elutriation rig is your friend as well, use one and you will get a much more efficient mare. |

Good idea, already done :).
ThePhoniex wrote:2) Just put a AB on a AB bonus-ed hull. What to drop? The invul maybe?

Yesterday I tried to do a 7/10 sansha escalation and I needed a corpmate to finish it. Too much DPS incomming. Even with shield booster. Cap isn't the problem I think.

Hm, what would you suggest?

Havin a smartbomb and a cloack now. Maybe I should drop the cloack for the neut. |

Thanks for your advice! pull a heat sink (the fourth one does not do much due to stacking penalties) replace with tracking enhancer, pull the tracking computer to fit the AB, pull the adaptive invuln and a shield boost amp to fit 2 more damage specific hardeners. train thermodynamics, local reps should always be run hot and toggled for best cap efficiency. |

personally I'd drop a boost amp for the AB, and change the booster to a pith x-l (c and b types are both ~35m in jita right now) and keep the 4 heat sinks.
outside of blinging it there isn't a whole lot to do.
smart bomb and neut for highslots are probably the better ideas. probably a good idea to have a cloak that you can fit if needed.
I'll join the chorus asking CCP, don't take my fancy names away from me!

WHY ??? Some of us like to fly cool ships and price is often irrelevant..

to me a "better" fit would be
Nightmare sansha 0.0
low -4x heat sink -2x tracking enhancers
Mid -AB-two uses one to dictate range to keep you in optimal and the other to minimize incoming dps. -X-large shield booster- not as efficient as a large and a boost amp but definitely stronger/better tank -cap booster- 800 charge- so when you run those 7/10 complexs you can keep shooting and tanking until you kill enough incoming DPS that you can tank it. -2 EM hardners and 1 thermal- replacing a EM for a invul field is fine if your worried about pvp- but if you were worried about pvp then you really should not be ratting in a nightmare in 0.0 space.. -last slot is either a tracking computer with scripts for optimal/tracking or a shield boost amp for more tank. Your choice.
Highs 4 tech 2 tachs -2 salvagers for isk making or -a cloak for defense -neut/smart bomb for defense against players (smart bombing enemy NPC frigs works too)
rigs- 1 CCC- for general cap improvement 1 anti EM shield rig so you start off at a better resist vs the primary sansha DPS type 1 energy discharge elutriation- to cut the cap cost of your tacs by 25%.
That's what I would suggest |
