Try flying a megathron.
I have no problems fitting a t2 geddon with a 3% reduction in CPU implant.

An apoc is laughably easy to fit.
The topic is about the geddon though

I'd say yes, but I've tried to fit a Megathron.
My favourite Geddon setup uses a CPU mod, which is a bit sad...

cpu is tight and more would be nice especially when fitting t2 its far from required to make the geddon effective tho the geddon is probably the amarr ship that needs fixing the least much higher on the list are ships such as the omen

If you give it a boost, I'll kick some asteroid ass in it. Of course, the Domi pilots would freak when they weren't the best in the game at something that involved solo.

megathron cpu left after fitting a full rack of neutrons: 367,25 geddon cpu left after fitting a full rack of mega pulse: 284,25 apoc cpu left after fitting a full rack of mega pulse: 307
I'd say mega is one of the easiest bs to fit, my solo apoc setup wont fit without cpu implant and several faction mods. and thats a setup a mega would fit with ease.
And I do think geddon needs more cpu, right now I have to fit sensor boosters on my mega pulse geddon because nothing else fits.

I lolled, k?
Now please go out and BUY a megathron, and try your easy fit. Or do it in quickfit, or something.
Remember that the mega also needs the very CPU hungry MWD and injector to get near functioning...

I dont need to buy a mega, because I already have one.
And are you seriously saying a mega needs and mwd and injector for solo, but an apoc or geddon doesn't?

Edited by: Verus Potestas on 02/09/2006 08:11:03 Well, I'd say that anyone using an apoc for solo PvP at close range needs their head examined.
Geddon is a better idea, but you aren't going to be able to fit imjector, MWD, web AND scram, are you?

It's the MWD that does it mostly. And no, neither a Geddon nor an Apoc needs an MWD. Let's try a basic fit with the lowest tier guns:
7x Electron Blaster Cannon II 1x Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain I
1x 100MN MicroWarpDrive II 1x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator 1x Faint Warp Prohibitor I 1x Heavy Electrochemical Capactior Booster I
2x Large Armor Repairer II 2x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1x Emergency Damage Control I 2x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
With maxed skills, you're 20 CPU short. Add a 5% CPU implant and you're 7 short. This is with the lowest tier guns, now try that with Ions.
I'm not saying the Geddon doesn't need more CPU to be comfortable either, just that the Mega is in no way easy to fit. So unless it's designed this way, boost the CPU of all BS or none of them.

Yes.
If you are going to use Neutrons (or any sort of blasters for that matter), it _needs_ an MWD. More so than almost any other Battleship.

Of course its designed that way.
You are not supposed to easily fit all t2 setups on t1 ships like BS. Jst remove some t2 for best named or even faction like the MWD and other utilitarian mods and its good to go.

change that x5 to a fleeting, change lar 2ts to accommodation and DC to best named and it fits without any cpu implants.
And when I say it needs an MWD its not just for kiting, but to boost survivability, I did say solo pvp you know. If you jump in to a system thats camped you'll need an mwd to get back to the gate before getting triplewebbed, slowboating to the gate at 150m/s just wont cut it.
how often do you fly solopvp unscouted in 0.0 space anyway?

Wrong way, LAR II to True Sansha.
But you don't have to make such compromises on smaller classes of ship to fit T2 gear, and I don't think you should have to on a BS either.

No-one with any sense solo's in a Geddon. You can, if you like, but by the restriction of three mid-slots is next to useless for real solo work against competent opponents. You're either dropping a speed mod, scram, web or injector, all of which a Geddon would need to solo effectively.
If you're not carrying one of those, a Geddon with a tackler friend will toast you. That's not the case for a Megathron, it does have enough mids to solo effectively.

I was thinking about the apoc when I posted that. Even though the thought of soloing in a geddon has crossed my mind several times I've never done it. Because, as you wrote only 3 mids limits it way to much.
