I think it would be a nice idea to increase shuttle velocity to 1000...
I mean, the only thing they're basically used for is auto piloting across space, more specifically in high sec. That's basically their only purpose.
People will still get popped when auto piloting with a shuttle full of PLEX, but honestly, who's that dumb?? (there are some)
That said, no one really pays attention to shuttles anyway, so why not speed them up to make auto piloting a perk for shuttles. |

No. There is no need for things to be any easier than they already are for people who live in highsec and can already idly set a course 30 jumps away, turn on autopilot, and go take a nap.
If you want to shuttle there faster, go buy a Leopard. Or fit up an interceptor with hyperspace rigs and speed fittings |

This affects pretty much no one...
Don't see why you think this is a problem...

1: It's a bad habit to reward afk gameplay, like autopiloting. The same major reasons for no warp to 0 autopilot are the same ones for no 1km/sec+ shuttles. If you want to get there in a hurry, actually fly your ship yourself.
2: No ship in the game afaik can achieve 1km+ a second without a prop mod or links. A quick EFT shows me a triple t2 overdrive injector, triple aux thruster rigged Dramiel only goes 992 with a set of HG snakes. Why the **** would a 5k isk shuttle go faster than any other ship in the game even those fit and rigged for absolute max speed?
3: I hate lazy people. And "Make autopiloting easier for me, you cant object cause it doesn't hurt you and only helps me" pushes most of the buttons that annoy me. Laziness, entitlement, and the belief that unless it harms someone else directly, they can't object." |

The only thing the shuttle needs is more cargo space for officer mods and PLEX. |

No, but only because it's a pretty brute force and tactless way of removing some of the absolute tedium that is moving around high-sec.
The ever unpopular suggestion that autopilot just warp you to 0 would be better than this.
If you want to make shuttles useful give them the freighter jump fatigue bonus so people use them to travel null-sec jump bridge networks. |

And what is the problem with this ship only being used for "auto piloting across space, more specifically in high sec."? It is a Shuttle, what else do you want to do with a taxi/cab? This is not Taxi Taxi, if you want to reenact this movie, you buy yourself an Interceptor.
Shuttles are perfect as they are for the purpose they are intended to serve and which is their "basically [...] only purpose". |

I would love 15m3 cargo hold, but 1km/s is too much. maybe 750 on leopards, but thats still a big maybe.

Dear OP,
Get an Atron. Fit warp speed rigs and overdrive injectors. Fit an MWD. Undock. Move MWD to F1 slot. Set destination. Activate autopilot. Place heavy coin or something similar on F1 key. Observe result. Profit.
Edit - for the record, I have not moved this way since I was a new player. I stopped doing it once an alt got ganked by a solo Catalyst. That lesson cost me about 50m in skill books. You have been warned.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

For those against this how many times have you ganked a shuttle because it was carrying something expensive?
In fact when was the last time you even shot at a shuttle?
How many shuttles do you pass by in a month and never even really look at them or bother to scan them to see what they may be carrying?
With those asked I do think that 1,000 is a little fast maybe 700-800 instead and give them a slight bump in warp speed say maybe another 1 au.

No for the a general boost to shuttles your gonna have to work for it.
If anything make a new skill for shuttles and add a skill bonus of %7.5 increase in velocity per level, but the skill takes just as long to train as advance spaceship command :P |

I'm perfectly fine with it being tied to a skill. Hell, they can even set it to where they're slower without the skill and boost up to around 800 with skill at 5.. Though advanced spaceship command training time is quite a bit excessive..
And yes, I realize you're trolling... |

Make it more valuable to active use, but still a buff to passive use. No velocity change, so same amount of time on grid.
Edit: If a fatigue reduction is insisted upon give it exclusively to the leopard. It's limited issue anyway and if the geckos are ok **** it.
On a long enough timeline, the life expectancy of everyone drops to zero.

With those asked I do think that 1,000 is a little fast maybe 700-800 instead and give them a slight bump in warp speed say maybe another 1 au. How often do you look at a taxi and actively look for who's inside when you commute to work/travel somewhere/just wander around the city? I am not interested in any ship all the time and everywhere unless I actively pursue the goal of finding something or someone in particular. In all other instances I do not pay attention to shuttles, battleship, battlecruiser, carriers, titans, interceptors, interdictors, etc. Other people (I look at you, Thrasher gankers around the Niarja <-> Uedama area) look into every single autopiloting small ship they can find. So what is your point, Donna?

shuttles use to have a great purpose for making instant jumps and selling BM's on the market now... well I think they should be phased out. |

What I would like to see is more cap OR reduced cap needed for warps.
Once I go for a longer route and the cap goes down, it doesn't regenerate enough forcing me to either dock and refill the cap or keep getting stopped mid-warps even for decent ranges.
Otherwise.. well, use the pod. |
