Im still researching for the forums or whatever for the answer to my question(s), however if any one can quickly give me an answer with support where to find th info I am looking for it would be much appreciated.
? When making copies from a BPO, why is there a limit on max runs? For example take a Projectile XL Fusion the print says it supports 100 runs per copy Max, but yet I can find a BPC with a 1000 runs on it. Also same with like Hvy missiles, my corp has several BPC's with 1500 runs on it....but our new junior indy guy has tried to make a BPC himself but is allowed only 100 runs per copy....question is Why?
IF anybody can tell me why or where to look ie forum thread, devblog, patchnotes I would be very grateful....it seems my CEO or fellow directors do not have the answer to this, and niether do I but I am left to figure it out as the primary researcher in the corp. |

"Licensed Production Runs Remaining - When you copy a blueprint, you have to decide how many runs it will be good for. The more runs you set, the longer the blueprint copy takes to make. Each run remaining allows 1 batch of the item to be made in a factory. Typically, ammunition and drones have a maximum of 1500 runs, equipment has a limit of 300, frigates can be set with at most 30 runs, industrials and cruisers have a limit of 15, and battleships 10. You may notice that some blueprints have this value set at Infinite (as a result of being copied prior to the patch which implemented this feature). This means what it says: you can use the copied blueprint infinitely without problems"
That was copied from the evelopedia BPO page and is mostly nonsense - except where it alludes to the run limits changing over time by CCP during new expansions. Previously copied prints still have the old run limits, which is why i have a Rupture BPC with 300 runs on it :)
Hope that helps, feel free to get in touch should you have any further queries.

Afaik, they changed the max BPC Runs on most BPOs.
All those oversized BPCs coming from pre Crius. After they changed the whole Indything.
So, no magic here ^^ |

Because before the Crius expansion (July this year), the max runs were different. Higher in most cases.
