[1] - Quote By now you've probably seen the GÇ£This is EVE (2014)GÇ¥ trailer that we published a couple weeks ago, but if not, go check out the uncensored version on our YouTube page. Our goal for GÇ£This is EVEGÇ¥ was to show what it actually feels like to play EVE Online, by showcasing real players doing real things in the game. Judging by the number of views the trailer has received on YouTube, the reaction has been amazing. Now weGÇÖd like you to show us, and the rest of the world, what you think makes EVE Online unique. WeGÇÖve prepared some prizes to encourage you to team up with your friends to do so. Your mission: Create an amazing trailer that demonstrates what EVE Online is for you and those you play with. Then share it with us at [email protected] (with the subject GÇ£This is EVE video submissionGÇ¥) by February 20, 2015. A panel of CCP employees, including members from the EVE Online development team, community representatives, and video production pros, will select the best entries. Those videos will be showcased at Fanfest 2015 (March 19-21) in Reykjavik, Iceland. The top three trailers will be screened at the CCP Presents keynote on Saturday, March 21, 2015 and their creators will win a set of fabulous prizes. (Note: Attendance at Fanfest 2015 is not required to win.) What kind of prizes, you ask? Fabulous prizes! But specifically, we think players will team up to create these videos, and want to reward you for doing that. HereGÇÖs what you could win if you submit a winning video: First Prize: Three one-year subscriptions to Adobe Creative Cloud Complete 100 PLEX Three copies of EVE: The Second Decade CollectorGÇÖs Edition signed by the EVE Online development team Second Prize: Two one-year subscriptions to Adobe Creative Cloud Complete 50 PLEX Two copies of EVE: The Second Decade CollectorGÇÖs Edition signed by the EVE Online development team Third Prize: One one-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Complete 25 PLEX One copy of EVE: The Second Decade CollectorGÇÖs Edition signed by the EVE Online development team If this sounds like something youGÇÖre into, get working on your own GÇ£This is EVEGÇ¥-style trailer, and donGÇÖt forget to send it to us at [email protected] with the subject GÇ£This is EVE video submissionGÇ¥ no later than February 20, 2015! Of course this wouldnGÇÖt be a real contest without rules, so make sure you read these if you want to enter: GÇ£This is EVEGÇ¥ Trailer Contest Rules: CCP Falcon || Community Manager || @CCP_Falcon Happy Birthday To FAWLTY7! <3 |

[3] - Quote Well, ****. I had the perfect idea for my entry but it uses some of the soundtrack from the anime Sword Art Online as well as the scene with the NerveGear's fulldive sequence, and those are copypasta-protected. Oh well. I may still make the video anyway just for the lulz and just not submit it. |

[5] - Quote If we just had a decent, script based Battle Recorder to create post-cinematics from different camera perspectives (like what CCP is doing), then CCP would get a lot of epic promotion material. For free. The latest EVE trailer is maybe the best commercial video for EVE but it will again polarize. Many people will try EVE but most of them will leave disappointed because the zoomed out gameplay is mainly covered by windows and brackets and not showing the athmosphere of the trailer. If we had the option to record all action into a script for a playback with the EVE engine with great camera features we would have endless and fantastic possibilities to present intense battles from complete new and different perspectives. Filmmakers would be able to edit never seen before videos of real action of a video game and maybe it all can be rendered in a much better quality. This would be something completely new in the game industry and attract many people with passion for film making. |

I am 16 but I would really like to take part in this competition :) Most likely because you'll have to sign a legal agreement with CCP for them to be able to use it. And at 16 you can't enter a legal agreement in most countries. The solution is to have a legal guardian officially take part. CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor. |
