I posted this to reddit, but was told that it might get more attention here:
So, if you've seen those ambient light bars for TVs/Computers/custom-setups, then you know what I'm talking about. If not, it is a system that detects the greater balance of color on the screen and shows that hue with an ambient light-bar behind the screen.
For themes in Eve, this would mean if you jump into a system that is mostly red, you'd get a theme for Eve that shifts to a red-based theme. Same for all the other colors of systems, etc.
I like some themes in the new xpac, but they are a bit harsh in some systems with bright colors that contrast heavily. With my old dark/black/gray setup, it wasn't an issue. I like these new themes, however, and it would be nice if they shifted based on local phenomena and colors.
Of course, this would be a toggle, just as themes based on the ship you are in. So it would be an option.
Thoughts?

I like this idea. It is a cool use of the new racial-colored themes.
However, if we're using the theme color to display information (which this does), I demand the following: 1) Themes changing color based on solar system pvp activity (blue, yellow, red) 2) Themes changing color when I go from shields to armor to hull (blue yellow red) 3) Disco rainbow themes whenever I am flying a rainbow Abbaddon (every color ever) |

I would definitely like this for inspace brackets.
Sometimes there is some weird shade of white or yellow due to the star or the nebula and it's difficult to see the brackets. |
