How hard is it to get into industry. Does it have to be a space job? How do I know where the most profit will be made. |

While it would be quite easy to write a massive wall of text to answer your questions there isn't a need to reinvent the wheel. At the top of the page there is a sticky for resources. Some of that will be out of date due to the frequent changes that have happened over the last year but much of the basics will still hold.
Also, read any posts by Tau Cabalander or replies that he makes to posts, he is well informed and helpful.
How hard? Not hard at all. You can start with simple stuff like T1 rigs. They don't need research on the BPO and only need Industry 1 to build(I think, but check Show Info and look at the Skills tab and it will tell you).
Space Job? The art of making isk is to streamline things and get someone else to do the bits you don't want to or find boring (e.g. don't transport stuff yourself, pay a courier to do it).
Where's the profit? There are out of game tools like the fuzzwork website and others, Isk per hour e.g. that will tell you what are the most profitable items to build or build up the knowledge yourself by getting stuck in and making a few mistakes (on cheap stuff) and learn by doing (my preferrred method).

Getting into Industry is relatively easy. The hard part is deciding what you want to build and skilling as well as acquiring the capital to do it.
T1 production or ammunition production is very easy with minimal capital needed. T2, T3 or capital production is far greater as far as skill and capital needs go.
I got into industry as I wanted to build the modules and ships that I flew. I can manufacture every ship that I fly and do so cheaper than buying it on market. |
