Has anyone else noticed a change to how storylines are handed out post patch?
Previously you would get a storyline every 16 missions completed of a given level for a given faction and the location of the storyline agent governed by the location and type of space the agent who gave the 16th mission was located i.e. if the 16th agent was in high sec it would be the closest high sec storyline agent to agent 16, if he was lowsec the same but in lowsec etc.
Due to a wardec I've been running a lot of courier missions but it seems the type of space is no longer having an effect - in the course of building up 13 storyline missions entirely from high sec distribution agents delivering only to high sec stations I received storyline offers from high sec then low sec and even null sec!
I have bug reported this already but have not received a response so I've created this post to see if others have observed the same. |

Sounds buggy and I wouldn't be surprised if it is, especially with all the recent changes being done to Agents and missions.

Also make sure that none of the agenst you have up and running is an Interbus one, they hide in between other agents since they have no stations of their own. Easy to miss that they are not an agent for the corp that owns the station.

I know all about the joy of Interbus agents and none of the agents I was using were from that faction - note the issue isn't not getting storyline missions (which is what you get if you run for an interbus agent) but getting storyline missions from agents in the wrong type of space. |

Haven't seen that effect for combat agents for an NPC corp I had been running with. Still gettting the same offers from the same closest storyline agent. Assuming you're not stacking up (yet to be run) storylines, perhaps it affects only couriers or specific corp(s)?

If it's a smaller NPC corporation I could see that happening, e.g. Thukker have distribution agents but as they don't have a lot of agents in total and those are spread out in mostly high sec, but some in low and NPC null, if the algorithm for assigning a storyline agent just picks the nearest it would inevitably start giving you storyline agents that are farther and farther away even into low and null sec.

Thats the point - I was specifically stacking up storylines. When running in solitude for Gallente corps you expect to get 3 storylines from the 3 agents in the big high sec island and then missions from Stacmon and onwards into main empire space. What is actually happening post rhea is once you have the 3 storylines stacked in the island you start to get them from low sec and null sec agents. |

Thats what I'm saying the algorithm appears to have changed - it always used to be the closest in the same type of space, now it appears to simply be the closest. I'm fully familiar with Thukker - I've got 10.0 standing with Trust Partners amongst other corps |
