How about giving each jump clone its own home? People have clones put in particular places for a particular purpose, and without the ability to set a home and self-destruct, it can be very hard to nearly impossible to re-position that clone.
So, I propose allowing each jump clone to have a home that it returns to when podded. |

NO, there is a reason they choose this path, and it is a logical one. It is ALWAYS possible to get somewhere no matter where it is and where you are. With the warp speed changes and the interceptor buff its easy and fast. relative risk free.

So, I propose allowing each jump clone to have a home that it returns to when podded. Nearly impossible? The only place that's impossible to get to in EvE are the Jovian systems. Literally everywhere else is easily reached in an interceptor.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.

So, it costs me 20M every time I get popped in a toon that is supposed to be 35 jumps away? |

Just swap to your forlorn Jump Clone.
Go to the new station you desire.
If using that particular Jump Clone, set the station you are currently in as "Home." When using your other Jump Clones, do the same thing.
It only costs 100k each time you change your "Home Station." And no... that is chump change. Especially when you compare it to the old cloning system.
Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

Once a year, dude. no, you can set it to the station you are currently in all you want. no limitations. It is remotely setting the clone that is once a year. |
