Why does the Ishkur use the Incursis hull? I mean it makes no sense. In concept Tech 2 ships are meant to be specialised and enhanced versions of their Tech 1 counterparts, but the Ishkur has nothing in common with the Incursis. In my opinion the Tristan hull would have made far more sense as the basis on which to base the Ishkur, after all the Tristan is the Tech one Gallente Drone Boat.
They have applied this logic with every other Gallente Drone Boat.
Vexor > Ishtar Myrmidon > Eos
So why not Tristan > Ishkur?
The Tristan is a beautiful hull and I would love to see more use made of it, what do you think?

Either i'm not understanding you properly, or you're making zero sense.
The T2 hull of every single ship in the game, visually, is just a slightly modified T1 hull, regardless of whether or not the bonuses on the T1 ship match that of the T2. How does switching the current Ishkur (Incursus) hull for a tristan hull accomplish anything? That would be a polar opposite to the current ship progression system.
Furthermore, CCP has said that in future releases there will be a variation of the Incursus hulls. Right now the only thing differentiating the Incursus from the Ishkur and the Enyo is a different paint job. Eventually, that will change...(Supposedly.)

the reason its not based of the tristan is because the nemesis was based off the tristan model before the stealth bombers got new models. |

The Tristan also didn't used to be a drone ship, right? That just happened within the past year or so I believe. It would make sense though and now would be the time to do it before making a new Ishkur based on the new Incursus model.
The Nemesis is pretty cool looking so it would be sweet to see another modified Tristan. |

All AFs use oned of their race's dps frigate hulls, while the other one was used by the stealth bomber. Also, Tristan wasn't even a droneboat untill relatively recently. Though, even if it had beem it wouldn't have changed a thing: Harpy still uses a Merlin hull instead of a Kestrel one, despite Merlin having always been a turret ship and the Kestrel a missile one.
The really weird one, though, is the Amarr stealth bomber, which uses the hull of a logistic frigate. This is because, for some unfathomable reason, when CCP turned every other race's mining frigates (which had been rendered obsolete with the existance of the Venture) into logi frigates, with Amarr they changed the former mining frigate into a dps frigate, and one of their dps frigates into a logi frigate. |

If they fcked over the Helios because its hull didn't follow the "upgraded from T1 model" logic they can bloody well change the ishkur model to a Fat Man. |

This has only recently become the case, for most of its life the Fat Man was a twin Blaster boat with two utility highs (IIRC). The three blaster Incursus was a much better match for the Enyo and, as the two Assault Frigates for each race develop from the same hull, the Incursus hull became the Ishkur too. Things don't need to have linear continuity to make sense and I wish the mentality which seems to say so was less prevalent - Creo-Dron have a tradition of taking traditional gunboats and squeezing solid drone performance out of them... although the Eos no longer uses the Brutix hull
The logic for using the Incursus hull is fine; and it means that the better looking hull is used (although I'm still not sure about losing the lance)... In fact if that was the only logic involved it would still be fine IMHO - Asthetics (within reason) should be allowed to rule other choices occasionally. |

Actually the reason is perfectly fathomable. Tormentor is a much cooler hull than the Inquisitor. Especially now with the latest graphic/lighting update the Tormentor is beautiful and a fairly threatening looking ship. look wise Inquisitor fits the roll of logi better between the two of them. |

AF hulls were decided on well before the tristan was made into a drone boat. The tristan used to have 2 missile slots believe it or not so it was the hull for the nemesis. I'm sure when CCP gets to AFs, the hull models will change according to what corresponding t1 hull is most fitting to model after.

What the man said, i dont like the new color on most of the ships. Back at old days was one pink ship cant recall which it was maybe Enyo or Eris.... That was better than the new Vindi |

Eris and Oneiros used to be pink and grey. Enyo used to be entirely red, bright fire engine or sportscar red at that. It looked awesome. It makes sense they standardized the colour scheme of Roden Shipyards ships (they used to be all different shades of red, with some being primarily grey with red bits and others entirely red), but I wished they had kept the Enyo paint scheme as the new Roden standard scheme. |
