I would cry, but in laughter, if there is ever a server reset. And I have 187million SP-¦s , as long as everyone else was wiped clean, else yeah, it would suck big time
If I was in charge of CCP and had a special backup of eve, I would "switch" it on April-¦s Fools day to make EVERYBODY a less than a million SP version of themselves, with 5000 isk.
It would be glorious, for a day

I can honestly say, if Eve were to reset and people start again, I would have a serious think about if i would even bother to restart, I think most of the reason I am here still now is because of time invested.
If i was to go back and start again I would change nothing, I met some nice folk on my journey through eve

If I had to do Eve all over again, I wouldn't change a damn thing. Yeah, I made mistakes, trained skills that are worthless to me now, but the experiences I had, and the people I met having them, are irreplacable.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.

I would love to see you keep your 'I'm biomassing' promise...
Still waiting.
Back on topic, I would have gotten into PvP earlier and gotten out of highsec sooner.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I'd do it the same way, the first year was so much fun, wish I could get that magic back. On one level it is still there, but not like it was.
I'll join the chorus asking CCP, don't take my fancy names away from me!

Sold my four year old char last year for PLEX4GOOD. More people should do that. It doesn't really hurt that much. At four years of age the minority of people who have actual brains to use, will have learned that the SP aren't the be all end all of fun or necessity. Fun fact: With proper training queues, you can be running C4s and C5s with a small to medium-size fleet in under 1 million SP - as long as you have some moderately higher-skilled (~7-10m SP) DPS pilots and someone that knows what they're doing FCing.
you can Fly Stratops against PL with under 100k sp :P and Nullsec anoms too a Fleet with 20-30 T1 frigs not even fittet with meta mods tho |

i gained too much isk too fast back in 2005/2006, i tried tons of things and now nearly 10 years later, i cannot find something i enjoy so I only spin my ship and update my skill queue
skill wise, i would have about ~3 millions more sp if i had manage everything properly but... who cares, with my 210m sp and 210 skill at level 5, i would probably die to a new pvp player since i never really enjoyed that part of the game so I suck at it. |

As someone who has quit playing as of last summer after 10 years of eve i'd say i wouldn't do anything differently at all.
I've enjoyed allmost all aspects of the game and got all out of it what i wanted.
The only thing i would change would be asking close evefriends for their rl email adress to keep in touch wich i allways tried to not do as as i liked to keep rl and game seperatly but so many old mates i flew with of wich i daily wonder what they are doing now and how they are in rl .
We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

wise man told me almost 11 years ago that eve online is not a leveling game. not to rush it and in time you'll get what you want :)
150 million sp later would not change a thing ... ok maybe less skills in mining but hey even that has helped

Yea, I started in early '04. Wouldn't change a thing either.
Contrary to advice and popular wisdom, I've always been more interested in the mining, production, transport, and market parts of the game. PVP is something I don't do much (but as you can imagine- I have teeth).
Today I'm very pleased with where I am in the game. But it was kinda of hard at first when all my friends ran off to be "PVP only". I had to make it on my own. Indy corps were out of the question because they got decced all the time.
So for more than ten years, my main has stood alone, and over the years I added additional accounts so I could achieve my goals without having to deal with internal corp politics.
Today, I am totally self sufficient and my corp is a respected member of a medium sized low sec alliance.
And... this is also an alt :) |

I did exactly that over a year ago (with a 50+ M SP). Best move ever.
I got in before the character sales market dropped out, was an easy ISK making character, so got a stack of cash. Half spent on PLEX (before the market blew out), half kept for burning ships.
I knew how to optimise training for the ships I wanted to fly, so there was a month of pain, but then I was competent with the small stuff again.
Don't have to pay to play. Don't care about losing the (cheapish) ships I fly. Have fun watching the world burn. |

The one thing I would change is my playstyle, I would play way more agressively. At first I approached other players with caution, beig carefull not to step on anyones toes. I thought I didn't have any leverage, as I didn't realize carebears even existed and meta gaming was new to me. It took me a while to see my own potential, but it was all over once I started hunting PI haulers in lowsec and got my first 100m+ kill in a <1m ship. The only thing I might somewhat regret is not seeking out a piratical corp to join as a newbie, but I made amends by starting one that's relatively easy to get into. |

A recovering btter vet, with a fresh toon and a determination to like everything that CCP does to Eve...
Don't take me too seriously though, I like to tease a bit on the forums, but that's only because I love you...
