If you look at the description of the module (medium autocannon here) you will see this portion in its stats:
http://i.imgur.com/k8JDOiE.png?1
0 resists.. ZERO for structure.
so with a tower off line and shields down, why do we have this:
http://i.imgur.com/hczrr4G.png?2
99% resists?? nowhere in the description or stats says that an anchored module shares the same stats as a tower when in structure.
Forgive me if this should have been put into Features and feeback or the Corp little things section. It should be easy enough to move to the appropriate forum.
A little clarification on the alarming discrepancy would be appreciated though.

Or, just kill the tower and scoop the modules and sell for profit
Instead of wasting ammo on the structures.

Using lasers on the structure (only one) the tower itself would take much much longer |

Fly in a fleet with 30 other dreadnoughts and even with 99% resists those modules will evaporate in one or two shots. |

The batteries go into their own reinforced mode. Simple as that.

This basically, your not technically supposed to kill them through structure normally, they shut off if I recall correctly once they hit hull. |

It's a long story.
Treason never prospers. What is the reason?
Why, if it prospers, none dare call it "treason."

This is reply to both comments:
When I hover my cursor over the target I have "shield, armor, and structure"
Structure by the stats should have zero resists. If it goes into reinforced mode, shouldn't have they stated that somewhere in the description?
It should be pretty easy to fix a description and or the stats. They are not changing any game mechanic that doesn't already exist. They would just be adding 12 characters of text. |

Display bug -- it's showing the "unanchored" stats. However, when a POS module is anchored to a tower (online or otherwise), it gets 99% structure resists.
If the tower (and/or gun) is online, and you get it into structure, the module goes into "incapacitated" state, and remains disabled until such time that the hull and armor are repaired to 100%. If the tower (and/or gun) is offline, I think it only shows that state.
One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The tower is certainly off line. The module went incapacitated when it was driven into armor. Once the armor was gone, then the 99% resists kicked in, ie. reinforced mode.
This my gripe about the stats. It should read 99% on the resists in the structure section. Or hopefully that can put that somewhere in description.
But yes removing an incapacitated module is rep the armor fully or remove by force. I chose the latter not knowing it would go into reinforced mode |

Out of curiosity, why are you still shooting it? It's incapacitated, so it's not going to shoot at you, and it's worth like 3m isk, so it's not exactly going to cost the defender much. Seems like a massive waste of time.

Thought it would be shot down faster than repping back to health so I can move the tower. |

My point was "when online, it'll change status from online to incapacitated -- when offline, no such change, even though it still goes incap'd".
Again, the resists section is a display bug, and is showing the "unanchored" stats. Soon as a module is anchored, it obtains 99% structure resists (regardless of online/offline status of the POS). Soon as the POS tower itself is gone, the module will lose the 99% resists.
