Now, isn't EANM supposed to be better than APN?
But in this case there is no reason to fit EANM.

Strange.... You are indeed correct. Seems all the energized plates show the wrong stats. :D

Yeah, attempting to figure out if it's just a typo in the descriptions or if the stats are broken during use. My head is a bit sluggish though so I'm struggling. :D

Looked at possible drawbacks to each module?
Currently cant log in to check, but the plate does add mass to your ship. No idea about the EANM.

The nano just looks the better choice until you get to Tech 2. Maybe I'm missing something....?

Energized Nano membranes just change fitting as they go up in meta level (until T2)
ANPs get better resists. Probably because they use no cpu, and only 1 PG.
I'm expecting, once teiricide reachs ANPs, a great deal will be slashed from them.
The only real discrepancy is at meta 4. Otherwise the ENAMs beat them every time at a meta level) Generally by 5% or so.

Well there is the extra weirdness of all sub-T2 EANMs being worse than the T2 ANP in all aspects except requiring Hull Upgrades III instead of IV. They take more CPU and give lower bonuses than a T2 ANP does.

Yes and no.

With the two modules you are comparing it is logical to never use the prototype ENAM. Additionally I would like to note CCP is aware of these issues. Where some of the M4 modules that are borked and make no sense. Refer to ->

Also, the 36 CPU requirement of the T2 EANM is usually not worth the extra resists on frigates and destroyers, but it definitely is on cruisers and above.

Tech I energized nano membranes are some of the worst balanced modules there are. There's literally no reason to ever use them because adaptive platings are better.
There's a whole bunch of modules that don't make sense, aren't viable or are completely worse at their intended job than something else. CCP has shown zero interest in ever fixing it so I expect that situation to persist. |
