Hello,
I have been seeding the market where I live for months. Basically, if you come into my home system and buy something on the market, chances are it is from me and if I am online I will see it. I will know which ship you're in or have a pretty good idea of what to expect and I will hunt you down. This is also a good way of telling whether those docked are active or not. Also, a well-stocked market leads to more people being lured into your system of residence thus allowing for more targets. Who else uses this tactic?

Truth is this actually doesn't work when you are facing off against real competition, it works against a lot of faction warfare scrubs who don't think before they leap.
Is there any way to unswallow my pride? Can I fuck myself down?

You can pick apart anybody's killboard and say their kills aren't good.
You can take the best combat pilot in the game, look at his killboard and see that most of his "kills" are actually just ganks.
But when you look at the fights against real competition and see how they fared, that is what's important.
If you think you are top shelf **** because you whack in low-sec, then challenge me. Instead of trying to nit pick random kills on a killboard for some cheap moral victory, challenge me. And I will come down to your system, explode your ship, and show you what real competition looks like. I've done it plenty of times before and I will do it again.
A real combat pilot knows you don't just jump into low-sec, or null-sec, dock up and start buyin' stuff unless it is a few minor things like parts for a frigate that you can fly out of system quickly anyway.

Kind sir, I will disagree. When that said pilot see's that a Gila or Orth is the cheapest in the region by 40M he will go there and try and pick up said ship, Stab it out, bust out his alts, and so on. That is when the fun begins. |

I Disagree, Only people who need to worry about a measly 40mill will bother doing this, 90% of the community will buy in places of best convenience, Such as trade hubs, Not just look at the lowest in region and go "Oh my theres one in Amamake for 20m less than Amarr, Gonna scoop me that **** up!

SO you're telling me that if someone is living in 0.0 or in low-sec and they see the ship they want 4 jumps away. They would rather have it imported from a location that is 30-60 jumps away and also have to wait / do more work for that to happen? Seems legit.

Plenty of people would take the deal and buy the Gila or whatever it is they are getting for cheap but it is always better to have your own logistical setup than to buy straight from low-sec, or wherever, in fact it's better to build all of your own stuff than to buy it with ISK in the first place.

I get whatever I can on the low-sec markets, but I gave up seeding a while ago because sales were never stable enough to call it a viable business. Consider me the 10% that would rather shop at Amamake than risk going to a hub and getting instalocked & popped by a squadron of nados waiting on piratey types to land a nipple hair's width outside the docking radius. No, I'm not going to do a proper logistics run on the spur of the moment when I have a sudden desire to use a specific ammo type ASAP
There's nothin' like skating away from a fight with the hull on fire, some mods burned out and a cargohold full of loot.
See my terribad blog for stories.

And it is not all trolls with 20 logistic ships in high-sec, either.

You have no idea what you're talking about.
The big issue is time. In the amount of real time a dude will spend making 8 jumps for that Gila, he could have simply had his alt purchase 10 Gilas in Jita and had them courier contracted (with all of their fittings and ammo) to wherever he is stationed in low sec. In the amount of time it would have taken him to build/transport all of those hulls he could have made enough isk doing something else to pay for the transportation costs, and still had plenty of time for some pew (which is why he's playing the game in the first place).
In summary: Multiple stop shopping in low sec is for the poor. One stop shopping is for the lower middle class. One stop shopping IN BULK is for the rich. That's why the rich have more time to pew than the poor. |

Even better, a market right in your home low sec system where you can buy in bulk at prices comparable to having it moved yourself. |

We have lots of guys stock our low sec hub, but they still miss stuff. You're free to try of course, but no one individual can stock everything in sufficient numbers to make a fully functional low sec market work. And if they did, they'd be tying up hundreds of billions of isk doing so.

As previously said, Just use a courier service such as PushX and get it delivered. And order a few, I would never go flying around looking for a bargain, which was infact what you said, Not that people will jump around to get their ship, You said to get a cheaper ship they would.
