So since Rhea I have noticed an increased amount of time in Jita being under heavy sustained tidi. There were not any ganks happening, and amazingly enough most of the time it is tidi'd there are only 1 maybe 2 or 3 reds in local. Nobody is pounding the monument with clouds of drones and other lag causing things like they used to have to do in the past in fleets of hundreds to have any effect on Jita's node.
But lately it seems like once Jita nears max pop, tidi kicks in even all the way down to 30%. Heck even during Burn Jita we had better response from the Jita node and there were huge ganking fleets left and right hitting targets.
Has something changed with Jita's node to cause this? I've even gone so far as to frequently check all the neighboring systems to see if maybe they were causing Jita's tidi and each one of them were clear and tidi free. First couple days after Rhea in fact Jita spent most of the day in tidi and I could locate no player based cause.
Would be nice if CCP could tell us what has changed with the system and if we should now expect tidi to be a standard companion of a near full system regardless of player activity or reinforced/separate nodes. |

Maybe you missed it, Burn Jita had fleets of ships blowing up other ships, today, not so much and no real source of the tidi. Also depends on how you read tidi, 20% of max tidi or 20% of actual game speed. |

Don't go to Jita.

TiDi is caused by session changes. Docking, undocking, jumping. And this happens alot in Jita. Fighting adds extra session changes through exploding ship and then "reappearing" in a pod. |

For a little clarity: Session changes aren't the only source of tidi. But they're a reasonably significant one. (which is being worked on, with Brain in a Box)

Not going to Jita is like killing the Batman.
Its simple, and literally solves everything.

I just stick to what the client shows me ... and you?
Last I heard, 20% TiDi means 20% TiDi.
Your brilliance confuses me considerably.

I also remember hearing something about moving things in inventory, so with all the freighters loading and unloading that would put quite a bit of load on the servers. although that might have been smoothed out a while ago.
the rest I'd mostly just attribute to all the traffic in jita. I haven't seen tidi all that often, although I tend to be on well after peak hours.
I'll join the chorus asking CCP, don't take my fancy names away from me!

I heard digital rodents spawn on all the ships, and their scurrying around and mass reproduction only adds weight to the bandwidth strain in Jita. By way of extension, the massive movement of manpower and material (I said that to use all those Ms) increases the size of the rodent population as it stays apace with humanoid (and other oid) activity.
Don't quote me on this. My therapist thinks I'm making progress.
Treason never prospers. What is the reason?
Why, if it prospers, none dare call it "treason."

If you don't get a lot of tidi in Jita, you're picking up the wrong sort of "space strumpets." Try the ones with the beards. They always put out.
