How would these items rate in importance for running Eve well -- specifically increasing FPS?
Can anyone who gets decent framerates post thier system configuration along with their usual fps?

My own setups:
3GHz P4 HT, 1 GB RAM, GF 6800LE, averages probaly 30 FPS, with VSync AtlonXP 2500+, 1 GB RAM, GF 6800LE, averages probaly 25 FPS, with VSync
Based on my own setups and what I've seen at friends, I rate hardwares importance for Eve performance like this:
1. CPU 50% 2. GFX 25% 3. RAM 25%
Just my .02 ISK,

CPU does more work than the GPU in EVE. Having said that, a good graphics card helps. -

AMD 3000+ 64bit. 1gb DDR400, 6600gt with 128mb. Audigy 2, nforce 4 mobo 2*80gb SATA RAID0
I run the most update drivers all the time, I run EvE with all the graphics options on, and all the sounds on, music off and winamp running in the background. I run at 1280*1024, i'd run higher but the text gets too small on this screen.
I usually get about 60fps and have only once ever experienced lag.

Edited by: 4rc4ng3L on 20/09/2006 17:50:08 AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 4gb DDR400 ram (yes 4 gb!) QUAD SLI using two nVidia 7950GX2 running at 1680 x 1050 with settings up max using advancedDevice=1
This is a pure and simple beast, even in jita on a crowded day i can get up to 200fps in space!

Souns like I need to upgrade my CPU.
I have a gig of RAM and a 256mb Video Card, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, P4 3.06 GHz CPU.
I'm getting about 40 fps. So sounds like my CPU should get upgraded? I'd like to get at least 60 fps.
I'm playing in 1280x1024 with sun occlusion off and trails off.

Originally by: Necrosmith ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.
I'd upgrade that too! Also if you have a manufacutred pc, I would recommend a new Motherboard as well.
my specs.
p4 3.2ghz HT 2 gigs duel channel ram Radeon X850xt 256 mb (OC) Sata raptor 10,000rpm HD (only 30 gigs but i only run my games off it)
In stations i get about 90-100 fps
In space roughy around 70-80 fps
