First stations need to be destructible by players. Or we would have Jita Riots MK II over the lack of warning and NPC's being able to do things players can't. |

Just imagine. if aything they would only target player-owned stations, since highsec/lowsec faction-stations are kinda needed, since if those became destroyable the only thing that would happen is highsec gankers would just start ganking anyone who tried to stop the sleepers so thered be no more stations in highsec
also, everything player-made and owned should be destructible (and again i say it, in nullsec, destroying a station should be VASTLY easier than capturing it, since its usually alot easier to blow up a military asset than secure it, especially one as vvaluable as a station, so when stations ar elooked at and stats tweaked to make them destructible, i HOPE destruction is the easy-route, else no one would ever destroy them because itd be easier and cheaper to just capture, which would make me sad) |

There would be no reason for a trader to risk keeping a destructible station stocked when that station could be blown apart with ease, and so regional trade would pretty much die out in most null regions. |

Think more in the line of all station services being destroyed but the station itself somewhat intact with nice burning graphics in and outside. |

Ideas have been floated for years regarding demoting player-built outposts from their current "indestructible" state. Unless I missed something huge, there have been no official public communications from CCP that address it. Still, the CSM summit is going on right now, and CCP have been hinting at big changes on the horizon, so who knows what they might be talking about?

Other than a couple of services which are currently indestructible and the graphical effect, that would be pretty much as it is now. There's a group of people who want to be able to destroy it completely, with a killmail and everything. |

That's the problem. The "Play style of making it impossible for others to play the game" would be in full effect and we'll see station bowling for no other reason, which would be more immersion breaking than getting ganked by the Yule Lads in the middle of summer.
Diminishment of services due to attacks would make more sense than complete destruction. I can see that as a strategic move comparable to deccing industrial corps to hamper their effects on the market.
Maybe that would be considered if a day ever comes that NPC corps declare war on each other to stir things up.

The only official type of statement that I have seen was from CCP Scarpia at fan fest last year. when he mentioned that they want to make everything destructible. then I think he said 'yes including stations' but that's all I have seen.

Less places for n00bs to run and dock. i approve of this. maybe this is why high sec has so many useless stations, so the sleepers had something to show up and destroy for the sake of the lore. CCP has a very far seeing story indeed. (Please have them destroy stations so that we get about 1 every 5 systems or so, I promise will make for a funner game) |

Since sleepers are from W-Space.
They would evict all the wormhole corps. If successful..... They would go after the many PoS in Null Space. If successful.... The renters would flock back to Hi-Sec since their owners cannot protect them. Null corps move to Low-Sec Low-Sec pirates start fighting with the Null corps. Sleepers come in while everyone is fighting and eventually end up with The Last Stand in Hi-Sec.
Hi-Sec saves New Eden.

fact is, there should be NOTHING a player can put in space that becomes a permanent, immovable fixture in the game, because that becomes a "first come, first permanently served" style mechanic, where even if you OWN a system, you can have a station where you want because someone 5 years ago though it'd be funny to put as far away from anything else in system as possible.
either make stations destructible or remove them entirely, this game is about risk/reward, nullsec is supposed to carry the most risk, stations offer near-perfect safety for anyone inside, so either learn to just not use stations, or learn to defend it with the knowledge it may be lost. |

If I were in charge nullsec would be abandoned to the players. No SOV mechanics and EVERYTHING (except maybe planets but PI installations yes) destructible. Yes even gates (and when the gate is destroyed, no more local either). People wanna lay waste that's fine, but they gotta sit in it.
