If I end up in combat, I do not fight to run.
I fit that extra low-slot with a damage mod, so as to hopefully destroy my opponent before he does me.
At overwhelming odds, I probably failed at picking my target, and then also deserve death.
If I manage to warp anyway, I laugh - because they should've fit a scrambler.

An apoc whit t2 fit can do that, whitout cap boosters.
basilcy every bs can tank sentrys when you use cap injecters.
The problem is to tank the sentrys and the guy shooting you. Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes "Here was the brand of the cigerates i smoke"

Scram, Web, Cap booster
2xLAR II, 3 EAN II, 2 HS II, CAP relay
Thats not a perma tank because the cap won't hold both reppers on forever.
reading comprehension??
i said i guess it could, i dont know for sure because i dont bother to perma tank cos i cannae be arsed to gimp my setup.

For your setup to be a permatank, Laythun, you would need to have indefinate amount of cap boosters available(or at least for 23 hours). If you have that, and pumping 800 energy into your capacitor, with outstanding repair maintenance(depending on damage received)... yeah, I guess you could.

Really guys, why talk about it coz it's of no use at all. If you have a setup that can lock fast, tackle, tank sentrys perma and do good dmg then plz share
You'll sit there perma tanking, kill nothing of worth and end up dying to a lone hac.

You can permatank sentries in a carrier really easily. It probably costs less than a faction-outfitted faction battleship! _________________________________________________________

5 cap recharger t2's 2 large armor rep t2's kin,therm, exp t2 hardeners. 2 t2 energized adaptive nanos
High cap skills and high tanking skills.
I believe with 5/5 cap skills you can take on cap charger off for a scram.... This setup perma tanks but Isn't good for gate camping.
And no a ferox can't perma tank sentries. Also if you use cap boosters It's not considered a perma tank.
Easily perma tank setup
The secret is out!
Isn't the stacking penalty not worth it after 3-4 modules affecting the same attribute? ---------------------------------------

Originally by: Kruel I noticed a lot of these setups use cap boosters, not exactly a permatank.
Also, are cap rechargerIIs in the game? I thought they weren't available yet.
I wonder if a passive tanked Raven or Scorp could do the trick. Hmmm, passive tanked Domi even? Plenty of ships can tank sentries, but only until they run out of cap.
I suppose an Ishtar would be good due to the crazy resists you can slap on it.
No. Passive tanked Raven/Scorp has lower peak recharge rate than a passive tanked Ferox does, even if they fitted all SPR and Extenders. Ferox also gets good resists if you have your Battlecruiser skill leveled up.

I don't see why, everyone in eve seems to use the damn things.

I do hope i'm sensing sarcasm in this post of ur very much mistaken. the majority of stab monkeys are the ratters and complexers that are the victims. in my experience very few proper pirates/pvp'ers use stabs.
Also yes cap recharger II's are in game and have been for some time. although at the moment they are rather expensive at about 23mil each last time i checked
DE
who DOESNT fit a 5 stab raven these days. tbh, its the only way to viably pvp. I personally fit 5 wcs on ALL my dominixes and shield tank

are you serious? i'm guessing you don't solo pvp much. how on earth can you stab and shield tank a domi. if i had met that kinda setup the other day on the test server u would have lost terribly. however, you fit something more useful on the lows are u can actually start really pvp'ing.
and if you fight a 5 stab pleb raven and then fight a raven with say 3 bcu II's and 2 pdu II's the difference is dramatic.

the issue i see with most of these setups is that you spend all your effort to perma tank the sentries, that the first bs to warp in that has an experienced pilot and is set for pvp, is going to *****you.

Exactly, so its really a moot point, as long as u can sit there long enought then its all good.

Well naturally. These setups are designed for killing haulers and shuttle etc where u don't have to worry much about real combat. perma tanking a high sec gate in low sec popping haulers all day is probably quite profitable i guess (if not extremely boring)

It can be very boring, it is for lack of a better term "grinding". Roaming piracy is alot more fun but if you really are in it to make isk than there is no better way than to camp.

basicly it depends how much you are willing to spend, with the nerf of the gist b complex the b type xlarges are so expensive you may as well buy an x type
dood! an absolution can permatank low sec centry guns with t2 passive hardners!

cap recharge and shield recharge modules arnt stacking nerfed. you can fit 7 CPRs and 4 Recharger IIs on an Apoc and it basically goes from 0-50% cap in 5 seconds
As for Geddon gatetanking setup:
3x Cap Recharger II 1x Large Rep II, 1x Med Rep II 3x EANM II, 1x DCU 2x CPR
depending on skills, might be able to swap a CPR for a 1600 plate, or recharger for disruptor
Would probably be able to tank sentries indefinately, but good luck trying to kill anything with it - slow lock time, no tackle, no damage mods :/ ----------- Turbulance |

Lets face it if your tanking your damage is usally less however if i catch ppl tanking the sentrys I will own them.
My advise is make sure that there is at least two of you tanking the sentrys, that way you can share the damage. And yes we are talking about 0.4 of less.
