Hi,
I would like to setup production on demand but there is a little problem.
I had this service service where client would order by eve mail some items that I had on offer and I would produce them (my own BPs and materials) and then put on contract for them. But from time to time clients wouldn't pick up/buy their order and I was stuck with loads of items that took couple of weeks to sell in Jita and sometimes prices of raw mats dropped so item in question dropped in price and ate my margin.
Any idea how to best setup this service?
Tnx! |

You don't because anything you can make is more easily, cheaper, and better acquired on the open market. |

Not really, that is why they ordered from me. I have capacity to produce in bulk. Quite often this was the case: there are 6 items on market with prices from 100-150 mil and client needed 20 of those and I charged them 110mil per item for all 20. Even on those 6 they saved around 100mil when buying from me. Also by using contracts, only on market tax on biggest package I delivered they (we) saved 200mil. |

Customer creates a private WTB contract, item exchange "i will get" - amount of items he is requesting "i will pay" - ISK you asked for
Once you have build the items you complete the contract and get your ISK. Haven't done much with item exchange contracts and can't check it out now, don't know if he can choose "time to accept" and "time to complete"...?

Get the ISK in advance, at least 50%. |
