Do you like learning? Oh who am I kidding, if you are reading this, you are already a person that likes learning.
EVE University is an excellent teaching and learning corporation. It's like the Hogwarts of EVE Online - facing danger with comrades, while studying for the future. To push my cheesy analogy a little further.... which campus will you be sorted into (actually, just choose)? See? We get 5 "houses" instead of 4. We're like 25% better than Hogwarts. In fact, you're free (and encouraged!) to switch campuses whenever you want to learn something else. You can't do that at Hogwarts!
I have served two stints in EVE University - first in 2009-10 and then late 2014 to the time of this writing. [Guess what happened in late 2014 that brought me back to EVE Online? A little thing called 'This Is EVE" on youtube.]
You probably know this already, but EVE Online has the steepest learning curve of any MMO, and almost any game, in the world. But if you like learning, and I know that you do, you have come to the right place. As far as I know, the magic of EVE University will last forever. But just in case, apply now.
Fly safe. o7 Deltagram

Come join EVE University today to learn the basics of EVE.
Learn how to play the game, not just how to be a meat shield or how to press F1. EVE Uni is a supportive learning environment that allows its members to try different things. You wanna try FCing? Go for it. You got whelped? Lol, try this next time...
We also have the benefit of being neutral, so once you leave EVE Uni you have the choice of a huge amount of corps to join. You won't limit your options for later.

EVE University has some great opportunities for members. Here's a few examples:
- Do you want to try leading a fleet? EVE University members are encouraged to jump right in there and have a go at FCing. They can even join our "Fleet Command Course" and get tips and guidance from well renowned FC and EVE University alumni Apothne. This course is now taking in its fourth generation of new FCs.
- Our low sec campus is currently promoting logi, and offering assistance and rewards for members who train and fly logi. Everyone loves a logi-bro GÖÑ
- If you prefer PVA (Player v Asteroid) our mining campus has got you covered. They are offering incentives for members training up their leadership skills. Get paid and also train up to give those sweet sweet boosts to other miners.
- EVE University member and mentor Sol Arisa Ke'aide has created a fantastic epic mission arc called the Explorer's Shadow: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/The_Explorers_Shadow - This is a great "next step" if you enjoyed the Sisters of EVE mission arc (The Blood Stained Stars)

EVE University members have been engaging in some rather dramatic nullsec fights recently - a great chance for new players to get involved and yes, sometimes get blapped. Who says learning can't be fun.
Its not all PVP though, for example we have also had a series of fantastic lectures about Project Discovery from HPA Illuminator of the Human Protein Atlas. This is an opportunity to see 'behind the scenes' and see how your clicks actually help with the real life project. For science!

We have recently started a Cross-Campus Initiative: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Cross_Campus_Initiative
This is intended to promote cooperation between our campuses. Tsuro Tsero recently pulled out all the stops and organised over 20 events across all of our campuses.
At EVE University you can easily try out different areas of space without the commitment of living there full time. If you fancy trying out some wormholes, you can jump into our wormhole campus for the evening. If you want to try mining the next day you can head down to our mining campus for a big shared can fleet. NSC under attack? You can go join up with you fellow Uni members to get involved.
Join EVE University today and try it out.

My first interaction with EVE University was through their wiki, many years ago. I wish I'd joined back then, because I would've kept playing... When I got back into EVE (years after a ragequit, losing my Hurricane Fleet Issue!) I immediately resumed reading the wiki and applied.
I've been having much more fun this go around since it's an active group, a fantastic collection of folks. I became involved with the Personnel Department and was really pleased how welcoming an atmosphere each niche in the Uni is. I was even just promoted to Sophomore and accepted to the Wormhole Campus - a goal months in the making! It's been fun visiting the various campuses and groups, and I can't wait to keep exploring it. Thanks E-Uni. |

Since the Uni has 6 distinct campuses (plus an incursion community) every now and then our events department hosts a campus tour. They take a fleet around all of the campuses and have a chat with the members there about what that campus has to offer.
There's a campus tour coming up soon, don't miss it.

Another great thing about active corporations: events. E-Uni has a comprehensive calendar with various fleets, classes, and other assorted events...there's even a major field trip coming up. Another nice thing: the Uni turned my killboard frown upside down, I've gotten to do all sorts of crazy fleets. There's nothing like participating in a mining shared can fleet in the morning and a bloodthirsty laser battle fleet in the evening, with a nice wormhole jaunt for a nightcap. Thanks, E-Uni. |
