I was thinking of running an epic mission arc for the gallente since I have 5.0 higher standings in gallente. Just wondering if it will give negative standings towards other faction? I don't wanna lose standings on the other 3 empires.
Also if anyone got a recommended ship/fit to blitz through the epic arc that they dont mind sharing, they are more than welcome to share :) |

You can read through all of the epic arcs on mission reports at eve-survival.com. I have not run the Galente one in like about a year but I don't recall any faction hits while running the missions even when I had to kill empire faction ships. However I just ran the Minmatar epic arc and there was a derived faction standing hit to Amarr from the Minmatar increase that got when I turned in the last mission.
TL;DR Not from running the missions but you probably don't bypass the derived standings hit. |

As far as ships go I ran that arc on 2 clients as some of the missions were very hard to solo. I would imagine since bastion modules are now around it would probably be easier in a Marauder than it was last time that I did one. I would read mission reports before each and every one as some of them have some very high dps and scramming frigs as well as some speed run advice.

I read through all 3 chapters of the arc's mission reports including comments if I were you. |

You can incur direct faction hits in the Minmatar arc from destroying Amarr and Ammatar ships in mission. The hit is avoidable but is time consuming to avoid. |

Did gallente arc 4 times. Killed all ships. No faction standing hit You will face rogue drones, mercenaries, gallente federations, minmatar republic fleets during gallente arc mission. |

Just looking over my standings, the only noticeable hit I can find is to the Syndicate; you get the odd -0.025 hit for individual ships, but mainly it's the -3.0% for destroying specific structures throughout the arc. My Minmatar standings log doesn't go back far enough, but I don't think they take any hits, as it's specifically stated that the Minmatar hulls you encounter are independently crewed.
Hope that helps |

It is something like a 0.0????% hit as opposed to the 3% derived hit that you get from turning in the arc it's not even worth considering. |

I think you meant to say that the small amount of Faction standing hit incured for ship kill is nothing to worry about compared to the amount of Faction standing increase gained for completing the Epic Arc.

DMC No that is not what I meant but thank you for forcing me to double check. I was not home when I originally replied so I could not check in game. Now I have and found that you get no derived standing hit for turning in the arc.
I ran the minmatar epic arc on 2 different characters and only one did combat. The character with the combat kills had a total of 4 Amarr faction standing hits of 0.06% and 0.02%. The toon that did not fly a combat ship had no faction standing hits towards Amarr. So if you do full clear the entrance gate and only kill the completion trigger in the second room you will get one 0.06% hit and one 0.02% hit to Amarr. I got 4 total because I ran the arc on both toons so did all the missions twice. |

DMC Yeah it's comparatively negligible.
Only an issue if you're treading the line with them.

True, over time a player could indeed end up treading the line with them.
However there's plenty of options available to quickly change that situation if it does arise.
And yes, I'm talking about the various options listed in 'The Plan'.
