Came across a 2/10 site in high-sec but when I went to it the only thing there were Angel walls, a few asteroids, and an old gate that I needed the key for. I looked up the mission and it said that there should be 25 frigates and a structer that will drop the key. Why is nothing there? Did someone run it already? I saw no wrecks or anything else. Am I missing something? Besides the key I mean.
On another note, I found a site (i forget what it was called) that had containers that were part of a broken ship. I went to the containers and tried to open them. A message popped that said I needed specialized equipment to open them. I returned with my probe with relic and data analyzers and it told me I cannot open it with either one. What other equipment is there to open this? |

Are those civilian analysers perchance?
If so that's why the didn't work, you need to buy the meta 1 Verizon to do those.
As for the site you found, sounds like someone was in it, or had started it.

The empty site had been run by another player and you were lucky enough to find it before it re spawned or just went away.
Some of the containers found in relic sites require the use of a salvage beam, this might have been the case in your example. If you do not have the high slot for one I suggest keeping one in your cargo hold so you can re-fit in station, or carry a mobile depot as well and re fit on the spot.

No items in relic sites need a salvager. Please refrain from posting dated/bad info. These are new players after all.

As for the Angel 2/10 site, that's a 3 room complex. If the site is still active then someone probably had to warp out and couldn't complete it due to the same thing that happened to you - no access because of the gate re-locking.
The keys for those complexes are scarce and expensive. CCP definitely needs to either make those Keys available in the market from NPC corps or have those complexes respawn all hostile NPC's and Structures again after each downtime..
Anyway, due to the lack of gate keys, those unfinished sites tend to stick around for a few days. They despawn after their normal life span timer runs out.

Words are important. Especially if a new player rigs a salvager and finds out it does nothing in Relic sites. Trying to show everyone how much you know is only useful when you are correct.
