Hey guys,
I've gone back to running missions on one of my alts lately, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future in order to up my standing with each of the 4 empires.
As missioning can get quite lonely and since i'm not just there for the isk (Besides, there's lots more isk to be made when my standings with Gallente and Minmatar are as low as they are,) I've been considering taking a nooblet or two under my wing for some mutually beneficial company.
Proposal: I currently run level 4 missions with Amarr and Caldari and am willing to share bounty and impart some game knowledge while we run missions together. If you've never done this before there's no reason to worry, I'm very patient and gentle, and i'll take it slow your first time. I'll help show you how to fit your ships for various tasks and then use those ships to earn you some isk. I'll also be on standby for any other questions you may have.
I also do frigate, cov ops and blops pvp with my other toons, so while we may be missioning for a majority of our time you never know what else we might get into. That is, of course, if you're even curious about pvp. If not i'm more than happy to continue mission running until my goal of 5.0+ standing with all empire factions is complete, at which point I hope to reprocess my Marauder and never look at red crosses again for as long as I live.
I am usually online every afternoon/evening in the Eastern Canadian TZ from like 1600 - 0200 Eve time.
If you're a new player of a few weeks or less and think that this is the kind of thing you'd enjoy, please let me know.

This will either end well, or not well at all, depending on your point of view. |

I don't know if you'll get any positive response from the forums (new citizen might have been better), but you could drop by a starter system and make your offer in local. You'll at least be contacting players in your region and time zone. Maybe have additional details in your bio.
You'll probably get people claiming you're a scam, but you can explain that being in a fleet is no risk for another player & you could even offer to give them a 1million isk deposit before you go out. Any new players that are willing to take the chance might be fun to fly with.
Good luck with the new player outreach. |

If you are taking noobs with you, even if their fit is decent, put some remote rep stuff on your marauder and make sure they stay in range, losing ships is a part of eve and the tutorial should have taught them as much, but if you are looking to get noobs into PvE like your post reads, they need to stay alive or they will just walk away and there will always be a minority that come crying on the forums.
While ago on an alt I took a group out mission running, they were such a mix of things the only pre-req I made was all ships should be armor tanked. I myself flew a cap stable self repping guardian for it (A-type med reppers and i forget the thing that increases your total cap large cap battery or something) it was funny as hell. |
